Yes, the SVP-80 must be purchased separately. It is not included in any Tormek packages.

Q: Can this sharpen lathe tools and gouges?

Hi, The HTK-806 is for knives, scissiors, axes, and short hand tools. For lathe tools, you would want the TNT-808 which contains the woodturning tool sharpening jigs for gouges, sku chisels, scrapers etc.

Q: Will this sharpener work for ice hockey skates?

No. In most skate blades there is a hollow, so they would not want a flat grind as produced by the large Tormek Grinding Wheel.
