Festool492135 Centrotec Chuck

I bought this baby as I like to use the Centrotec fitted bits and drill bits for quick interchangeability. This things works great. You can use it on most Festool drills so long as they allow for chuck changes. Once on, it is simple to pull on and pull off the bit or drill bit you are using. This one saves me time and wear and tear on my hands not having to hold the chuck and put the unit in gear to seat the bit. Very good value.

Easy of use

I picked this up as an extra Centrotec chuck for my various Festool drills. Once you start using the Contorted bit system you find that they are reliable and secure.

Space saving chuck.

I have used Festool tools for over 20 years. I own one of the first handheld electric drills Festo made, and it is still running today (needed several replacement NiMH battery packs over the years). I just upgraded to the newest set of drills/impact driver with Li ion battery technology, and decided to invest into the Centrotech technology. At first I thought: overpriced gimmick. But then I found myself high up on a ladder, having to quickly switch out different bits and drill bits. No wobble, just high accuracy and changing speeds. It’s worth it for me! Just make sure you get Centrotech compatible bits (they are longer), and insert them correctly.
