PIONEERAVH-220EX Multimedia DVD Receiver

Received as a Christmas gift from my husband. We had it installed in my 99 Ford Expedition Eddie Bauer and I’m absolutely in love with it. We also payed to have a back up camera installed in it as well and it works great! Sound quality is amazing. Screen is a pretty good size. Three of my favorite features are: Bluetooth connection to play my playlist. Playing DVD’s when vehicle is in park. Lastly, the multicolor illumination.We love it so much we decided to order a second one for my husbands truck:-) Priced at $199, great value for what you get and it comes with a remote. Awesome touchscreen stereo that brings back a little life to my older rig.

The Pioneer AVH-221EX radio is an excellent choice for our 2008 Mazda MX-5. With the Metra template, the fit is perfect. Wiring was pretty easy. I chose to solder the wires for a solid fit. The sound through the Bose speakers is phenomenal. It even picks up more AM and FM stations than the original radio. The Bluetooth function is superb so I can play all the tunes on my phone. The CD functions flawlessly and the sound is tremendous. Having the various equalizer settings is a big plus. I think there are 8 different settings with two being custom settings. Even the phone calls come through loud and clear using the provided microphone. The screen even shows your call with the person's name and phone number. I was sitting in the passenger seat and my wife could hear me loud and clear even with the mic attached just above the steering wheel. Highly recommend this radio. The price is just right and the quality is awesome.

I’m really happy with this unit for my 2014 Chevy express 3500. I was looking for something specifically without CarPlay, because I know those units are less reliable You’re spending significantly more money.This is a touchscreen, but it’s very clean. The Bluetooth connection works very well. The back up camera looks great.It was all a little confusing to install because I could not find the correct plug and play adapter unfortunately. However, I was able to adjust the pin out on a universal plug and I got it all to work once I found a diagram online.These head units all have spotty reviews, but I’ve been using this for a few weeks now and I would highly recommend it.

Great product. Install was easy. We mainly use only Bluetooth and great connectivity for music and phone. The sound is really great as well. Would recommend this product.

I have one of these Pioneer stereos in my fiancees car, and I absolutely love the way it works! Instant connection to my phone and their app is truly perfect! It was one of the easiest stereos to install that I've done, and I have put several in each of my vehicles in the past as well!

Just installed it. The remote wire is completely dead. It wont turn my amplifier on. I just tapped into the ignition wire, instead. I was hesitant to buy another "cheap" pioneer touchscreen, as I've had at least two others and they usually dont last long for me. A year or two and the screen stops working. We'll see but the price is right.

I installed this in my 2009 Escalade with the Bose system. It was a good replacement and delivers the same functionality with the additional Bluetooth connection.Pros: steering buttons work just as OEM.Bass boost and large EQ range is nice.Downsides:Won’t charge your phone when you connect it through the USB port.The 7” is not ideal in today’s world, but you get what you pay for.
