Douglas Pink Swirl Hedgehog in Tutu Plush Stuffed Animal

My daughter and I are fans of Douglas toys. While we primarily go for the sloths, the hedgehog in her pink tutu was on my daughter's wishlist. The hedgehog is well made and soft, but very small. Even when dimensions are provided in the description, it's sometimes hard to fathom how big the item will be in reality. My daughter had to save to buy the hedgehog, which I thought was expensive, but my daughter thought it was worth it.My thoughts (and observations): the hedgehog, while loved and included in our menagerie of stuffies, does not get the attention and cuddles that larger stuffies get. She just doesn't feel the same when someone needs to hug a stuffie for comfort. On the positive, the Douglas stuffies have an attention to detail that other stuffed animal brands lack. The hedgehog is no exception.

This is the most adorable plushie hedgehog in the world. These days both pink tutus and hedgehogs are in vogue so put them together in a tiny stuffed animal and you have perfection. This little creature is exactly the way it looks in the photo, maybe even cuter in person. I have a number of plush animals and have six hedgehogs so Dorothea, (Thea for short), fits right into her new family.I would recommend this item for anyone who loves stuffed animals, hedgehogs, ballet or all three. Her tutu is securely fastened as is her head ornament. I might suggest giving this to a child and not a baby or toddler because she is quite delicate. I would also recommend giving it to anyone who loves hedgehogs as a lovely addition to their collection.

Cute but maybe not worth the moneyI bought these for my daughters to give them after a dance recital. While they thought they were cute and they liked them, their comments were that they wished it had some sort of attachment so they could put it on their dance bag. It is about the size of a large keychain so it would work well if you could attach it to a bag.

I got this as a gift for someone who just lost her pet hedgehog. She mentioned that she misses her terribly but doesn’t want to get another one quite yet. This was a nice surprise for her. 😊

My Daughter-in-Law wants real hedgehogs......living in an apartment and having to pay extra $$$ for pets was not an option. During a Girls Day Out I presented her with a cutie in a tutu instead.Girls began ti name it...Lady Hyacinth Hedgeworthy
