Sad these didn’t work...
I absolutely LOVE these glasses and am sorry I can only give 2 stars. My brother introduced me to these and used with separate binaural beats off youtube they have changed both our lives. Unfortunately they seem to be cheaply made. My brother had his 1st pair for only a couple months before the lights stopped working. He ordered another and eventually had the same issue. I ordered a pair and was only able to get less than 45 days out of them before the audio started to sound like static and the preset modes stopped working. I could’ve used audio to you tube and just used glasses for the light, but at $500 they should work more than a month. Sadly, I had to return them. I contemplate buying again but....I think I’ll see what else is out there. I do love the closed off design of the glasses and the sleek look, but again, I was surprised at the cheap plastic used for the audio system compared to the innovative & more upscale look of the actual goggles. I’m sad these didn’t work.

Ordered, opened, doesn't work at all!
I finally decided to order this gizmo. I had thought it over for many months based on the heavy price tag. I was very excited to receive them, yet I opened everything, plugged the unit in via the USB and installed the batteries and absolutely nothing happened. I thought it was strange and perhaps they needed charging before using? So, they sat plugged in, but then I remembered they have batteries so...I plugged in the eyewear and the light came on for the googles, but the unit itself remained dark and has never operated since opening.I don't know if I was sent a defective unit, but this is a really bad start to a very expensive piece of equipment.I hope return goes smoothly or replacement.Laxman or Neurotronics what do you have to say about this?

You decide ~~~
Where to start... This machine is an excellent piece of technology. I am in awe of the music and light combination and the after effects it produces. Before buying a product, I always do my research, especially since it was my first light/sound machine. I purchased it as it was highly recommended by many websites over other models. Though while personal review websites tend to focus more on the pros and not mention much of the cons; granted all reviews are just in general personal opinion on their perspective/preference of the device. So while I highly approve of the effects the machine produces, I thought people should be aware of the other side - These are just my experiences and perspectives.- While the goggles are superior in the fact that there is no outside light penetrating and contain more LED's to allow for a wide variety of colors and pulses than any other unit and the only one to have an open eye experience (so ive read), as most people have noted sometimes the way they rest on your face is a little uncomfortable. Too loose, they shift during the session allowing outside light, too tight they cause discomfort around the eye sockets and nose. Just have to find that happy medium.- Albeit it does come with earphones, for the price paid you would think they would come with better audio quality. I went ahead and sprung another $200 for top of the line audio canceling over the ear headphones. If I want to lay on my side then I have a different set of earphones for this.- As mentioned above, for the price paid, you would think that the quality of the construction of the unit would be more high quality. I guess they stopped short of the goggles because the unit itself reminds me of generation 1 IPOD. If their intention was to keep it as simple as possible, then they succeeded as the menu appearance looks like something from a knockoff mp3 player along with the hard plastic screen protection (which appears to be heat warped as I have the funny rainbow appearance on mine (could be an isolated incident)). Though after looking at other competitors units (kasina, procyon, david), user interface / unit construction quality doesn't appear to be an important thing in any light / sound machine and probably has a the best one out there (kasina doesn't look too bad either). Adding to the fact a $500-$600 product and it comes with a soft case for protection. My $200 headphones came with a hardcase...- Considering that I did not have access to a mini SD card at the present moment (which i should mention that in order to insert the mini SD (not SD or microSD (Who uses a mini SD? Some technology must, but Ive never had a need for one until now)), instead of convenient side loading, they inconveniently placed in the battery compartment. Which also in a sense is a little bit of pain in the butt to maneuver into position to insert it as well), I tried to load some free sessions on the internal memory. After plugging it into the computer, I could not access the internal memory via computer (Could be the session of Windows im using) and there is no software such as Itunes or such to load it. While im on the battery compartment, I might add that wiring leading to the battery terminals is exposed a little, so if you accidentally clip/nick those, I hope you are good at soldering. A rechargeable lithium ion battery like phones/mp3 players these days have would have been a better way to go rather than using Double A's (IMO)- Customer support is kind of thrown out the window on this product. While there are only 22 preloaded sessions and little to non existent people making and distributing fan made sessions (you can download software on the website to make your own sessions which is a bonus), I decided to spring another $70 for some of the sessions on the website. After paying via paypal and being redirected to the website, the webpage encountered an error when it was supposed to download the .zip file with the session which didnt happen. It mentioned that if I didn't receive a conformation email then to email them. So I did and explained the situation, yet 4 days later I received no reply, so I opened a case in paypal and still waiting on a response. Kind of hesitant to try again to pay for any sessions (though this might have just been an isolated incident as far as downloading). Though... as far as the website goes, trying to download the preinstalled ambient sessions for backup purposes only leads you to the creators websites which are actually broken links and no longer exist. The links for free sessions (which i might add that there are only 4 free sessions) and the back up pulses are still active. While I might add, after paying that much amount of money for extra sessions, I was hoping for an experience like the pre loaded tracks. Well I was extremely disappointed as the the pay for order tracks were just binaural beats and the same color flashing. I could have put the same thing together in 5 minutes using Laxedit and binaural .mp3's. The website needs to have a sample of what those tracks are instead of the guesswork I had to do for $70.Though overall, as a product, I am relatively satisfied with it as I have nothing to compare it to based off personal experiences, and my experience with it is very pleasing. The only unsatisfying thing about it is the justification of the price of the unit in comparison to the construction quality of the unit and customer support. Though I can only assume that it is due somewhat to new technology / being a latest model (even though L/S machines have been out for awhile) and a not as big customer base.

LAXMAN - Your Paradise In The Pocket
Due to the nature of my work, I constantly study and seek out for new ways to optimize my cognitive performance (and especially stress management). I have bought many devices that offer the same theme of benefits, yet by far, LAXMAN is the best that I've encountered, period. The spectrum and density of light produced by the purposefully-designed googles produce a very soothing surround light ambiance; unlike others that will make you feel like you are attending a disco club in the '80s and flashing LEDs. The entire system is stylishly crafted and well thought through as a single mobile unit which you won't get entangled by crossing cables nor looking like a Frankenstein.LAXMAN offers a user-friendly experience just like wearing glasses that synchronize with your "iPod" - and you have a paradise in your pocket. I have been in contact with the LAXMAN team pertaining customizing tracks and upgrade of parts - well- the customer service experience is as mind-blowing as their products. Strongly recommended by #coachbongster

Wonderful when they work -- but they don't work for long
I have purchased three sets from the Laxman company. When the first set failed, sent it back to the company, repair took more than a month. I'd already bought another set for myself, a third for a friend. Same problem. Flashing goggles worked for four or five months, then began to fail, and finally unusable. Too bad, I was a great advocate, loved using them.

High Class Meditation Tech with lots of Choices
I've enjoy my Laxman. I use the Muse brain device and listen to meditation apps. But the Laxman is different. It can generate a variety of colors, pulses, sound frequencies, binaural beats, and I often find myself fascinated by the wealth of possibilities I have to adjust. So much so that I wish the guide was better written. Also some of the buttons get stuck in the on position. I did download my mp3s eventually to listen to my own recorded meditations, but had to use a converter for the Laxman mini sd which was hard to find. The price is also high, but the Laxman does what it's advertised to do beautifully. Lastly, I expected the battery life to be short lived, but have been impressed with its longevity.
