Great!
Learning cello on my own (with help from Udemy lol). This is a really great little tool to help me get my fingering right. I was able to hit notes by sound, like i could tell if i was a bit flat or sharp, but this makes it a lot easier. I'm hoping that with practice i'll start to know right where to place my fingers. I like this way better than those tape markers...I get that they're really basic but this is more helpful. You can see what note, not just where. I like too that they differentiated the natural and open notes, as well as the sharps and flats. It's a bit of a struggle to get it on correctly. Try sliding it behind the strings while still on the backing...that way you get the feel for where it needs to go and where you may need to do a little repositioning. Once you're ready, it takes a couple of minutes to apply, and to get everything aligned. It seems nicely sturdy, unlike the tapes that tend to plop off randomly. Really neat, useful little tool for the budding cello player. Highly recommend!

Excellent Customer Service
This finger guide is wonderful for the new cellist as you work on learning the proper finger positions. I have played fretted instruments and not having frets on the cello was a bit daunting but this guide steps in and makes placement readily apparent until you learn some muscle memory. There is a video on youtube to show you how to properly install this guide. It's important to thoroughly wipe off the cello neck to remove any rosin residue that may keep the guide from sticking. I had a small issue when I initially received it from Amazon and this company was exceptionally responsive to my messages and the issue was taken care of quickly and easily. I would buy from this company again without hesitation!

cool product but hard to install it perfectly
this is a great help product in learning Cello but getting it installed perfectly in place and with no bubbles is simply impossible on the first or even third try...

Very helpful, easy to use
Guides line you up perfectly, relatively easy to apply, though a little tricky to get under the strings without sticking before you're ready, application is super super easy if the strings are removed. I have not tried removing it, but it sticks well with no visible bubbles and no edge peeling, so it does not change the feel at all under your fingers or look bad. Having the notes and flats all specifically labeled is also extra helpful as you're beginning.

Great for beginners
I love this! I decided to take up the cello at age 47, and with this product I'm light years ahead of where I'd be without it. It was ridiculously easy to install and it's really helped me learn where the notes are and jump ahead to using a bow since I'm not stressing over where my left hand needs to be. I'm 2 lessons into formal training and my teacher is thrilled with me progress. Since I have a visual reference of what note is where, I can explore freely instead of waiting and learning one note at a time. I absolutely love this! โค๏ธ

package problem
The product is good, but the vendor folded the finger guide in half! This was unnecessary, the package is large enough. The result is the package is crushed in shipment, causing a fold that is difficult to straighten!

Training wheels for your cello!
For both those just starting out or resuming after a long absence, this guide helps build your confidence and coordination. Initially, you can look at the marks to help with finger placement and spacing. After some level of accurate finger placement, you wonโt need to look at the guide, simply play. If a note doesnโt quite sound right, you can look down at where your fingers are to see what error might have crept in. Without the marks as feedback your fingers might simply fumble around without any solid reference, continuing to make mistakes. For those who proclaim themselves pedagogical purists, good for you and your students who can magically put their fingers in the right spots. For us normal humans, this guide serves as training wheels do on a bike. Once youโve gained your confidence and balance, you wonโt need them. Until them, they are a useful aid.

Even more fantastic than I had hoped
Somehow missed that this is one sticker with all of the markings already properly spaced on it and not a bunch of individual stickers that you would have to manually find the correct key for (in hindsight this was VERY clearly illustrated in the listing, I am simply blind). Having the marking already spaced out in one big sticker is SO GREAT when your instrument does not have frets as a rule. Also can confirm they are the correct spacing - they perfectly match the markings my instructor had set up previously for the different notes and positions. Included with the sticker is a MIRRORED VISUAL GUIDE that illustrates the cello note marking from the POV of the cellist so you can mentally and visually connect the notes with your hand position. As somebody who only recently started cello as an adult, I wish I had thought to look for this kind of product sooner!

SCONSIGLIATO

Helpful learning aid
Not sure why so many people are bashing this. Yes we all know that you should use your ears to determine if you're hitting the right note or not - for me specifically who is playing along with tracks by ear it's nice to have a visual representation on the fingerboard where I should be rather than me been just off the mark as to where I should be playing (coming from bass guitar with frets). After applying this - it's also helped me run through my scales knowing where the notes are specifically so I can incorporate sound and finger position to cement muscle memory (or finger equiv) rather than trial and error. Some people might find it useful, others might not - all depends on your learning style but: - It was easy to apply - Stuck down well - Hasn't impacted my playing (no buzz or anything when playing notes) - The placement on a 4/4 electric cello matches the notes so it is accurate (played with an electric d'addario tuner so can confirm that notes played on indicated positions are the right notes. Worked for me

So much better than ugly tape. Understated colours are good. Guitar version is good too.
This is a great addition to my cello. I rebuilt from broken parts and a bunch of online learning. And now I'm learning to play it. I've previously put these guides on one of my classical guitars. So it was a natural choice for my cello. And so much better than ugly tape strips. This way I can start to embed the actual note positions into memory. The colouring is minimal and not lighting up my fingerboard like a xmas tree with a stack of colours. There is minimal adhesive so I'm sure the clean-up after removal would be easy and non-damaging.
