Holy Vedas

Literary I was awestruck when I opened the package. As a first buyer I was little hesitant about the quality of the book but when I received it, I am surprised with the luxurious binding and the outer aesthetics.Coming to the content, first of all, this book consists of the precise english translation of all 4 Vedas namely Rig, Sam, Yajur and Atharva Veda. Please note that the original Sanskrit Hymns is not there. This book is having only the translation and a brief background of the hymns.Regarding translation, Rig Veda translation done by famous author Friedrich Max Müller who was a German-born philologist and Orientalist, who was one of the founders of the western academic field of Indian studies and the discipline of Study of religions on the subject of Indology.The other Vedas translated by Ralph T. H. Griffith who is also a notable scholar of indology.The pages of the book is normal in quality and the font is comfortable to read. The book worth the price. This hardcover, red velvet cloth-bound copy of the Holy Vedas is a must have for everyone. It's so luxuriously designed not just from outside but also inside, with embossed golden colored design on the cover and backside, and good quality pages inside with black border illustrations in every page. It's size is roughly 19 x 12.5 x 2.5 (in cms) or about 7.6 x 5 x 1 (in inches) with around 290 pages, which means it's both lightweight and easy to carry.About the content, well, it's as expected from such a beautifully crafted book. All the 4 Vedas are here. The translation of the Rig Veda is by the renowned German Indologist Max Muller, while the rest of the 3 Vedas are translated by another famous Indologist T. H. Griffith. Explanations have been provided wherever necessary. Unfortunately the original Sanskrit verses are not given, but the English translation of the verses does manage to retain the essence of the original verses.Thanks to Grapevine India for bringing out such a nice copy of the Holy Vedas. Glad to add it to my collection.

Selected verses from all four Vedas presented. But English translation is a bit dated & few typos have crept in. But good introduction to the essence of the complete Vedas.

First of all it is in English and page is quality is also very good ..It is in hardcover and there are no damages found in any pages...It contains all the Vedas...moreover it is worth the money and time..

Can't say about content. It depends on taste. It is not for entertainment but u would like it if u love to read epics and some knowledgeable things of hindu religion.Book binding hardcover is as shown. Ditto. I love it

Is this the complete vedas? Only has English text.Torn right bottom corner.

Must read.. Contains the essential Hymns with good translation..

Don't take me in a wrong way.With due respect to writers.There are many drawbacks about featuring the book content wise.Trust me, dont rely on other reviews.It only contains Hymns translation, which is no use to most of the general users like us. In one sense, its okay to read once, but my sincere suggestion is that take the Vedas book which contains Upanishads also.Upanishads are part of Vedas.Kindly note,Only Hymns = Not Vedas. Very important.Upanishads & Upaveds are very important.Both,Upanishads & Upaveds are not included in this book.According to me, it very Incomplete book if anyone is really serious about reading Vedas the oldest Indian Culture.Call +91 8296 786 786.
