Seasonal Slow Knitting: Thoughtful Projects for a Handmade Year

Beautiful, simply beautiful
What more can I say? The entire book is a beautiful thing....from the cover to the endpapers to the pictures and the actual writing. Even my daughter (who does not knit) has picked this book up several times and commented on the beauty of it. I will admit I have only read the intro and the Winter season section but am truly impressed. I purchased this book knowing it was not a full knitting project book. It is an essay-torical type of book divided into seasons. You will get some knitting projects but also a sampling of other crafts picked for the seasons. The author delivers a relaxing walkthrough of the year for you to enjoy and participate in. Never feeling like you are rushing to complete a project to get the next one done. I am loving this concept and will be purchasing the authors other book.

There are no written words half the pages are missing
Half the pages are missing. There is no written word on any of the pages. I feel ripped off.

Glad I bought it
Fantastic description of the slow Knitting concept. So on target for me. Well written patterns. And since this is the first Knitting book I've bought in ages, that speaks a lot. Definitely recommend for anyone who loves to knit at a leisurely pace

Good reading as well as a pattern book.
Not just the run of the mill book. Great photos. Different simple designs. Lots of info that you dont always come across.

Problem with Kindle format
I purchased the Kindle version and the only thing that is visible are the pictures, which are lovely, but I really wanted to be able to read the book and see the patterns! None of the text is visible, just a lot of blank pages. Don't buy the Kindle version.

Ideal present book for knitters
This is a beautiful, brilliant book. The cover alone, is worth the books price. It makes you take an extra breathe when you see it. A lovely gift book. Photography and articles are stunningly photographed and the content is so brilliant with wonderfully written articles. A book to curl up with...the printing, the photography is second to none. Love, love this gentle book, it is relaxing to read and indulge in. Well written articles, oh and a few knitting patterns too. There is no other book like it. Buy it as a gift, buy it for yourself, BUY IT.

A book with a lovely feel.
This book is beautiful and the the patterns are lovely. I really enjoyed it. My only criticism was that nearly all the yarn choices are in the US and I wished there had been more suggestions for wool available outside of the US. But all in all, a beautiful book that soothed my knitting soul.

A book to read slowly
A lovely book to dip into as the seasons pass. Beautiful pictures are accompanied by thoughtful words and reflections.Bought a copy for myself, and one as a gift - also well received.1 star off, as I would have appreciated a few more knitting patterns.
