Black Donkey Coffee Roasters - 1KG Whole Coffee Beans (DECAF)

Tasting like coffee may sound a bit trite but that sums this up. Many people think that decaff coffee in some ways tastes bland or weak when in fact it doesn't if it's done well.And this coffee is really very good. It's a strong flavoured coffee that is in no way diminished by being decaffeinated.I don't know if the brand owners make their own coffee or they get it from a central manufacturer - I suspect that most oddball brands clearly cannot make their own so use a large supplier - but what I can say is that this coffee is good value given the bag size and certainly meets the flavour test.So, if you want a decent cup of strong flavoured decaff then this is a good option.

all very tasty

I'm trying a different decaf blend each morning and opted for this stuff for January.It's merely ok rather than hugely tasty; it's a little insipid even after brewing for five minutes, so it's doubtful I'd buy again.

After trying a few unsatisfactory decaf whole bean coffees, I found this one on Amazon. Straight away on opening the packet and taking a deep breath, I could tell that it would have some taste. The flavour is strong but not overpowering, with (I think) a very slight hint of smoke (in a good way). Beans are fresh and well preserved in the packaging.I think it is very good value for money, and will definitely be purchasing another when I've drunk all of this bag!

It's nothing amazing, in flavour or price, but it's nice enough to drink regularly, either black or in a latte.

For health reasons I swapped to decaf coffee. As I am a bit of a coffee snob, I prefer whole beans to freshly grind the coffee needed for my Italien coffee maker on the hob. After shopping around I found my favourite coffee in Black Donkey decaf. It tastes like "real" coffee. The rich but smooth flavour thanks to an excellent roasting process delights my taste buds every morning.

This is the best (or at least, one of the best) decaf coffees I have found. It is a light (strength 3) every day coffee, and I can drink as much as I like without getting an aftertaste which I have found with some others. My son (who is still into "proper" coffee, which I should no longer have) compares it favourably to the pure Colombian coffee he prefers.I now have to find a higher strength decaf coffee (strength 5 or above) for the odd time I would like espresso, but I haven't found one yet. In the meantime, I shall keep ordering Black Donkey for day-to-day use!

No harsh bitter aftertaste

Ein super Kaffee, der Preis ist für den Geschmack des Kaffees gerechtfertigt, ist auch ein sehr milder Kaffee da ich Probleme mit Sodbrennen habe.Diesen kann ich nur empfehlen 👍🏾

Eigentlich dachte ich, dass ich starken Espresso mag und vorangehende Rezensionen über Brandgeschmack übertrieben seien. Nun muss ich zugeben, dass ich nach einem Drittel der Packung aufgegeben habe.

Very disappointing

Dieser Kaffee hat leider überhaupt nicht unseren Geschmack getroffen. Wir haben die Tüte nach einigen wenigen Tassen entsorgt.
