Great product though a little noisy for a dog not used to it

This has a low speed and a higher speed. The dial can easily be adjusted. The low speed is very quiet, it is slightly louder on high but still not noisy. It works well on my dogs claws and it's easy to use. I started just doing a little bit and now use little and often to keep the claws at a good length. I've even used it on rough patches of skin on my feet and it worked a treat! So if your dog doesn't like it, it's not money wasted as it's useful for humans too

Ordered this product in May 2020 when my Dremel Pet Nail Grinder died. If I’m being honest I wasn’t all too impressed with it as it took a long time to grind my dogs nails who isn’t a big fan of having her nails done. It is pretty quiet in comparison to my previous dremel, but as she constantly tries to wiggle her way away from me I will take the noise and efficiency over the quiet any day.Today however I had the most brilliant idea and found one of my replacement grinders for my dremel and managed to slip this over the sanding wheel (with a little brute force) and vioala! Turns out the speed of this grinder was never the issue and the issue was with the coarseness (or lack there of) of the sanding wheel. It works just as good as my old dremel now and I only wish I had thought of this sooner.Happy customer now with the modifications.

My dog hates having his claws clipped and I have always been scared I would hurt him as he jerks about. He hates this tool too, but at least I am not scared of hurting him so much , so I can get the job done.

This is a really cool product our dog is terrible flinching when I try to cut her nails it makes me so nervous thinking I will cut too much. I decided to give this nail grinder a go because I didn't fancy trying to use a dremel. I am really impressed, it's super light and really easy to control the speed using just one hand, it's super quiet but you will get noise whilst grinding the nail itself this is unavoidable, but it was so quiet our dog didn't get nervous at all. It has two opening as shown in the picture we used the slot rather than end and it ground down the nail at just the right pace for our small yorky cross, at first I didn't think it was going to work but with a bit of practice you realise it needs a little bit of force to start but then it cuts nice and steady, and it didn't splinter, I would recommend anyone with a nervous dog to give this a try.

This is a good grinder. Fairly quiet but better suited to small dog's nails. I have a 40kg dog and a (currently) 20kg puppy and the grinder does very little to either dog's nails. It would take me an hour to do one paw!It is, however, great for my own nails 🤣

My dog has recurring issues with a couple of his toes and it makes trimming his nails with clippers difficult and uncomfortable, I decided to try a nail grinder instead and settled on this one, I’m so glad I got this now it’s amazing, I was nervous trying it but it’s so quiet you can hardly hear it and when I showed it to my collie he didn’t bat an eyelid, I tried it out on just a couple of his nails to see how he coped and for me to get a feel of how to use it, it’s incredibly easy to use and being able to adjust the speed is great, I started on the slowest speed so I could get used to it, it made me jump when I first touched his nail because I forgot it would make a noise when grinding the nail! But my dog never noticed a thing even on his poorly toes and it leaves a smooth surface unlike clippers which is great so I’m really pleased with it and would certainly recommend it.

This has been impossible to use on my dog. He hears the buzz and wont let me anywhere near his feet. Your dog will have to sit still while you do it for his nails to fit in the gap. It was a wasted purchase for us.
