It's not a miracle, instantaneous cure (nothing really is) but it is effective, natural, and safe with zero side effects.. I've found it works best taking one about 25 minutes before a spicy meal and another immediately at the very first hint of any discomfort. Taste is not offensive or off-putting in any way. It's a bit pricey but worth the fare. I've used it successfully for several years with no complaints and have repurchased often.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: Gaia is a very reputable company and located here in the USA. Reflux Relief is my go to on days when either the heartburn or hiatal hernia are severely acting up. Usually within 20 minutes the pain is gone. Tablets are easy to chew and taste fine. Great organic product with natural things that help like marshmallow root and chamomile. A bit pricey, but it works and is organic too.

I have suffered from very bad reflux for years. I've tried all kinds of products, from Tums to Nexium to Enzymes, and everything in between. Most of the natural remedies that I've tried won't knock out a bad case of GERD instantly. I have to say that this product does help in giving some almost instant relief. I have been using it for a couple of months now and I think it's made a difference overall. It's not long acting, like Nexium or Prilosec, but it's also no where close to as harmful to your overall health I'm sure. I take one after each meal and just slowly suck on it and let it dissolve in my mouth. This combined with eating less and not going for those spicy dishes I once loved, has seems to really help. I only give four stars because the taste is pretty bad. You definitely have to get used to it.

I used these for over four years (on Subscribe and Save) and was very pleased with the taste and how well they worked. Then, for a while, they were not available--not here or even on their web site. I was so excited to see them back, and I added them to my Subscribe and Save again. BIG MISTAKE!!! These are terrible. This new formula is nothing like the previous formula. It tastes awful, and it doesn't work to relieve my reflux. In fact, when I put it in my mouth, it instantly makes my stomach lurch. I cannot imagine why they would take something that worked so well and had a pleasant taste and turn into this? I ended up throwing the bottle away. On top of everything else, they are charging $3 more a bottle!!! My previous review: I have experienced reflux for about a year now, and I tried several other remedies. I decided to try these and see if they helped--I prefer natural things, so it seemed like something good to try. They work. My neighbor was here one day when he experienced heartburn, and he asked me if I had any of a popular brand of antacid. I told him I didn't, but I gave him one of these. He was so surprised that it worked fast, and he was feeling better very soon. He now buys these! The taste is pleasant, and they act fast.

I have extreme "silent" reflux that sometimes cause me to choke, it is beyond scary and traumatic...but if I chew one of these I get relief almost instantly!

I’ve been struggling with LPR/GERD associated throat pain and the lump in the throat feeling for over 15 years. I’ve tried PPIs and other prescription/OTC meds and nothing helps, not to mention they sometimes aggravate my IBS. I’d basically gotten to the point of just living with the pain and discomfort. However, I stumbled onto this product and decided to try it. I tried marshmallow root tea in the past for GERD and noticed no change so I doubted this would do much, but it has honestly been life changing! After the first day I took it (one at bedtime and one first thing in the morning), I noticed immediate relief. The throat pain and lump in the throat sensation was mostly gone! I no longer sit all day in discomfort, thinking about how raw and irritated my throat is. It’s honestly been really amazing! However, I did stop taking it for a bit and symptoms returned. It is a little pricy, but honestly I’ll pay it as long as it continues to help! I can’t say enough good things about it!

They changed the packaging and also the formula it tastes absolutely horrible now. Almost spicy in a sense, like peppermint ? All I know is that if I am having reflux why would I want something almost spicy as the remedy, makes no sense. Incredibly frustrating as this is the only thing that really helped my bouts with reflux.The previous version was more chalky and mellow and the only remedy I can take in order to avoid not having to take PPIs and Famotidine. PLEASE GAIA BRING BACK THE ORIGINAL FORMULATION!
