Playful Little Paper-Pieced Projects: 37 Graphic Designs & Tips from Top Modern Quilters

I bought this a while back and just looked at it to use it and there is no pattern CD with the book so there are no patterns for the projects shown.

I don't think I could ever make this quilt without a team of people but I just thoroughly enjoyed reading through this whole book. There are a lot of projects you can make with the applique for each of the 12 months (the main quilt project in the book is a 12 month perpetual calendar, one block per month based on paper piecing). All the contributors are super talented and very generous, sharing lots of free patterns and projects on their blogs online. I think this was a collaboration between quilters in Japan and the US so I thought that made the book extra special, with the mix of different fabrics etc.

...but some I would never make. Only about 3 or 4 things in here I would make. The DVD with the book is well done. However, the publisher needs to package the DVD inside the book better. The first order of this, the DVD was broken and cracked. I had to return it. Luckily the second one arrived in good condition.

All the projects in this book are wonderful, great instruction for each one. I happen to love paper piecing and it's so nice to have modern and really cute projects to make. I took it with me to a sew day I do with friends and everyone was gushing over it ~ I may have converted a few people in my group that don't like to paper piece!

Fun ideas! If you are new to paper piecing, try an introductory book, as some of these patterns are challenging and the explanation of the process is not great.

The patterns are wonderful and easy to mix and match. I like the versatility and the clear directions. It's a great book to have in any quilting library.

Lots of cute projects but the CD is the only way to get the patterns and it was missing in the first book I received and also in the replacement. Sending both books back and won’t be ordering it again. Found it at my local library instead WITH the CD.

Some of the patterns in here are really cute and clever. Others, not so much, but the pieced teacup border was worth the price of admission alone. It's almost too dated, though, and may not stand the test of time. Techniquewise, it's excellent. Designwise, it will probwbly go out of fashion in a year or two.

No CD with the book. Without the patterns to go with it, it becomes a picture book with no use

Lovely book but I didn’t realise there was a cd to download for the patterns.

Guter Service, schnelle Lieferung. Schönes Buch mit vielen tollen FPP-Ideen. Leider wurde es ohne die dazugehörige CD, auf der sich die Vorlagen befinden, geliefert. Somit ist das Buch nur ein nettes Bilderbuch und nicht zum Nachnähen geeignet.Schade, ging wieder zurück an den Verkäufer.
