Love this remote
Works perfectly with my Go Power 1500 Watt 12V Pure Sine Inverter (GP-ISW1500-12). Now I can turn the inverter on and off from bed in my camper which is awesome.

Very good price and arrived sooner than committed.
Replacement for RV dealer installed switch. Actually didn't need the switch but used the cable that was included. Rats chewed through the original cable and having the factory type cable with connectors on both ends was a life saver. Kept the switch to use in the future if needed (peace of mind).

Red light! Red. Really? *eye roll*
Ok, it’s $33 for an on/off switch, so right there minus one star. That’s too expensive. Button works fine, and why shouldnt it. It has one job. ON or OFF. BUT the ON led light is red! In the circles I live in, aviation & automotive, red is not “normal”. Red is bad, red is a warning, red means something ain’t right. GoPower would like you to believe red is normal ‘power on’. Oddly, on several of their other inv remotes, the ‘power on’ LED is green. Go figure. Also, making it even worse, the red LED is supernova brightness! I mean this thing could lead Santa’s sleigh on a dark and stormy Christmas Eve. See pics. Hated the red so much I desoldered the 5mm LED on the board and put in a green one. Bought a number of green repl LEDs on Amazon but the one that worked the best (wasn’t too crazy bright) was “100 pieces clear LED light emitting diodes bulb LED lamp, 5mm (multicolor)” sold by LEI NUOSEN, about $5. There’s actually two greens in that pckg, Green and Emerald. The Green was the perfect brightness for me, Emerald was much brighter.Update: My travel trailer has a distance of 30’ (wire run distance) between inverter and remote location. GoPower’ supplied cord is only 20’ or 25’. So I pre-wired my travel trailer with a 40’ phone wire. Hooked up the GoPower remote (using their supplied cable) to the inverter on the workbench, everything worked perfectly. Installed inverter in travel trailer, plugged in remote (using my prewired 4 wire “phone wire”) didn’t work! Argggghhh! Took me a while to figure out, but here’s the problem and fix. The cord GoPower supplies is flat 4 wire phone cord with RJ11 phone jacks/connectors on each end. RJ11 jacks only use the middle 4 pins, pins 2, 3, 4, 5. Looks like std phone wire, and it is, but it’s not quite the same. Here’s why: phone cord can be wired straight or reverse. Straight cables are often used to send data, while reverse cables are used for voice, like a telephone. On ‘straight cable’, the wires will connect to the same metal pins on either side of the cable. Pin 2 to pin 2, pin 3 to pin 3, etc. On ‘reverse cable’, the opposite is true. Pin 2 to pin 5, pin 3 to pin 4, pin 4 to pin 3 and pin 5 to pin 2. See pics. GoPower’s supplied cord is wired “straight”. If you buy std phone voice telephone line, it’ll likely be wired “reverse”. Fix: you’ll need a pckg of new RJ11 jacks (you can only crimp them once and they can’t be uncrimped) and a special crimper tool. I got mine at Home Depot but Amazon, Lowe’s, Ace etc will all have these. Cut ONE end of your “phone cord” off near the jack, flip the wire 180 degrees, and then crimp it using the special tool. Only do one end. Leave the other end as is. It’ll now be wired “straight”. Everything works perfect now, green light and all !!

I am glad this remote came with plenty of cable to give ample location opportunities inside my RV. Trying to find a 1-7/8” hole saw to make the installation was difficult. A 1-3/4” and 2” hole saw are readily available but the 1-3/4” is too tight a fit and a 2” is okay but leaves a rather large gap around the remote.
