## Description

desertcart.com: Aquarium Solutions® Bacto-Surge® High Density Foam Filter Kit for Aquariums, Large (Up to 75 Gallons) : Pet Supplies

Review: perfect size and qaulity - Worked exactly how i wanted. Very easy to use and maintain. I found it so easy to use.
Review: Works great in 40 gallon tank with live plants and play sand. Actually Amazing - I had never heard of this type of filter before, but my daughter who is OCD about perfection did. So we added one to her 40 gallon Aquarium. She has a lot of live plants and the water was always murky. Not anymore. Within 2 days, crystal clear and the critical water measurements come back great. Couldn't be happier! Pro's: Actually clears up the water from live plant water tints, murkey, and the little amount of dirt from the play sand. The circulation filter did not! No noise inexpensive easy to clean Con's: Big and can be an eyesore in a smaller tank. Surround with plants if you can. See pics. The one pic with the thermometer is also for the thermostat review. Please note that we added this to the regular type circulation filter. This did a much better job clearing up the water.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Is there a way to increase the strength of the filter? Do you just buy a stronger air pump?**
A: I have this - and another type. The Lee's under-gravel filter that I have going through my Fluval/Aquaclear 50 on my 10-gallon that has 2 Bristle Nose Plecos, their tremendous bioload, and obsession with fast current and bubbles. :)

**Q: How many gallons could this handle on its own? I'm running it with another filter but I'm curious about using it to cycle a second tank.**
A: No more than twenty gallons, I have a 72 gal tank but only use it as a back up filter for the lower part of my tank.

**Q: will it fit a fluval 306 intake?**
A: You can adapt it to fit any intake, but overall. Yes you can run it from a fluval 206/306/406

**Q: Are there suction cups/does it come with a way to attach it to the aquarium glass?**
A: It has a weighted bottom, so it sits where you place it.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Typical sponge filter, not much to say.
*by E***K on January 7, 2025*

I've had them in my tanks for a few months now as have had no issues. They are your run of the mill sponge filter. They do come with filter media to add in which is a nice touch.
