The install was fairly seamless. My screen was badly cracked and when trying to remove it, shattered even more. Clean up was very time consuming. Once cleaned up transferring the home button and fingerprint sensor was very time consuming. If you take your time and apply plenty of heat with a hair dryer, using the supplied needle tweezers it can be done with no damage. I successfully transferred my button and the fingerprint sensor worked as expected. By no means am i a videophile but I have three iPad Air 2s and I and my wife can tell no difference in the quality or resolution, brightness of screen or responsiveness of the touchscreen. Yes this was a pricey fix but I am happy with the results. The one MAJOR downside is the stickyness of the tape included. I recommend putting aside 2 hours of uninterrupted time to complete. Use a desk or other flat clean surface with very bright lighting. The finger sensor is held down with several pieces of very sticky tape; use the hairdryer to loosen the tape. TAKE YOUR TIME!!

Their small business tech must have ripped the old home button out without unlatching because now mine won’t go in. Triple checked compatibility, and tested on old screen. Very disappointed, especially since it says “inspected” one star because the screen did work but some pixels were burnt.. now let’s see how this return goes.. will update when and if I hear from supplier.Update: supplier was quick to get back to me and are sending a replacement, customer service is great. Will update when new screen arrives.

Bought this to replace a friend's screen that had cracked on her iPad Air 2. This item was easy to install and already came with adhesive attached to the glass which was so convenient. At first the screen stayed black on initial install but if you hold the home button and power button it should boot up and work fine like mine did. All in all I think its a great price for the the full screen replacement assembly and is so convenient with the adhesive already attached to the screen. I feel its a great purchased and came with a tool set to aide you in the install. A++ HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

The screen worked well and I liked their online instructions (more on instructions below) but... The adhesive around the edges was not applied well. The worst was the adhesive strip was applied so the sleep sensor was stuck to it on top of the adhesive. When I carefully tried to separate the sleep sensor from the adhesive it tore off. I am lucky I have good soldering skills and the right soldering gun to reattach it. One side of the adhisive was loose because it was not pressed into place and some overlapped the edges. I paid the extra money ($30 more) so I was not going to do any soldering. That backfired! I was pleased to have seen the adhesive already applied but I had to re-work it and one section reapplied. Packaging and tools supplied were good. The instructions for moving the home button/thumb print reader is good with extra pictures however, really needs to include re-installation not just removal of the button. I have done iPhones before but found the iPad button harder to center the bracket so the button would click correctly.

There was a problem with the first screen sent to me but it was quickly replaced with a new one and it works absolutely fine. Easy and quick to install if you follow the directions. I would highly recommend repair parts plus for your replacement screen. Two thumbs up

Took me hours to install. Was super stoked in then 15 min later locks up and glitches. Did factory reset. Same. Shame on this product

The installation of this part was easy once the old screen is removed. I used a different fix it site for the screen removal process as the site provided for instruction I found very lacking. I’ve replaced plenty of iPhone screens an an older iPad screen so I had an idea of what to expect.Once the screen was installed I noticed that the field of view for the screen is much worse than the original iPad screen. Off axis viewing of the screen tends to wash out with white light. Definitely not what I was expecting for the price of this screen.

Ordered the replacement screen for a IPad Air 2. It failed after a couple hours of use, but the company quickly issued a replacement. The new screen is working great. The provided tool kits were fantastic for getting the job done.
