This lens hood is not as expected. It is not reversible for storage. Delivery was on time and packaging was fine. Price was low enough to warrant returning it.

This tulip hood fits my Nikon d5100 kit lenses well. It's made well and tucks away easily flipping backward on the lens. Would buy again. :)

PLR Optics 52mm Lens Hood for Nikon: I have had this about a week ago and purchased it for my Nikon D200. This fit nice, but because it screws on to the lens, when I use autofocus it spins out of position. I just have to remember to put it into place before each shot. This one does NOT switch around to store on the lens, so you will need room in your camera bag. Also, you cannot have the lens cap on at the same time as this hood. I do not consider any of this of major concern, but I saw other reviews thought it was a big deal. Basically I see this as a professional camera and all of the professional photographers I know prefer to take the entire camera apart and store each item separately anyways. Tested in use: I tested this indoors so far and it did a really good job of sheltering the lens from the hard overhead light.

Absolutely love this hood. Don't know how I lived so long as a photographer without it. Fully reduces the influx of "strange" lighting and regulates the color in each shot. Great piece. Fast shipping.

Great Price and Service. For less then $10 a lens hood for my Nikon D3000. The hood helps with shadows and protects the very expensive glass lens. Great investment for the price. Item was as described and delivery was fast.

I don't like it because its not a perfect fit on my D3100. I'm afraid I'll scratch my glass trying to put this on it.

This product does everything it is designed to do. We took this on a camping trip in the mountains (Lots of sunlight) and was able to get back some very clear pictures. It was excellent in blocking out extra light the higher we went into the mountains. I was very pleased with the function of this product. The only thing holding it back from five stars is that it needs better functionality when adjusting the angles. Overall, great product, great design.
