180 Days: Mathematics for 6th Grade Practice Workbook for Classroom and Home, Cool and Fun Practice Created by Teachers

We use this series for homeschool daily practice. There are no instructions/lessons. It is a skill practice workbook. We like it.

Unlike other 180 Days of books, this is not for learning math. This book is solely practice drills for standardized testing. The math problems are random and not organized in any way, much like what you find on final exams. It is neither “cool” nor “fun” as the title claims, and it certainly does not offer “ways to explore” math as it states in the description.It would be good for summer break practice or if you’re drilling for the big tests (which… *cough* *cough* …ugh), but not for your actual school year curriculum.

I am a second year homeschooler and love this book. I was looking for something that I could use to start my math lesson with, that would serve as a review for 5th grade skills, as well as build into what he is learning this year. It's a great supplement to my core math program. There is also a great chart that you can use to keep track which answers are wrong and what standard they align with so that you can go back and reinforce that particular standard if you need to. It only takes approx. ten minutes to complete, so he isn't overwhelmed with a lot of problems at the start of math.

I really want to love this book because I was looking for a well rounded math workbook where my kid only had to do one page each day. This book seemed perfect and has lots of different types of math for the kid to do however the lack of instruction is problematic. You cant ask a kid to do things like fractions if you dont have some instructions on how to do them first.

Not a book for daily math skills. Good for summer review

Before this, I was searching the web for printable worksheets for my kids. Now no need. Perfect book

Love the 180 workbooks. Use as a daily quick practice and getting focused for homeschool. Covers variety of different topics everyday and gets harder as the year goes on, as it should. Sometimes a topic pops up before we've covered it, but gives him a chance to try and see if he can figure it out. Really love it.

I used this product last year with grade 2 and 5. I find it an excellent way to jump start math class and check for understanding. An excellent formative assessment tool!
