Great Cheap Gift Wrap Organizer
I was looking for a solution for gift wrap items. I had them crammed into one of those gift wrap bags but things always get crushed and you can't see eveything you have. Those bags also don't accomodate a large amount of items. I found a wall/door-mount solution I loved online at The Container Store but it was $160! So I was on the hunt for a more reasonably priced solution. Closetmaid to the rescue. For about $50 it's the perfect solution. They don't advertise this as a gift wrap solution and I think I know why. Because the mounting track on the wall (or door) is about 1/2" deep. That creates a 1/2" deep gap behind the baskets. No problem if you're putting in cans in the kitchen or bottles in the laundry room but, cards and gift bags and tissue can fall through that gap. I simply grabbed some 2" wide clear packing tape and ran it horizontally across the gap forming a little bridge between the wall and the basket after it was fully installed. Problem solved. I could probably use some cardboard or plastic and cut a liner to put in the bottom of each basket and solve it as well but the tape worked great, it's clear and a quick cheap solution. There are other similar systems like this but if you're going to use them for gift bags and wrapping paper make sure they include the adjustable braces for tall items. This is the key to holding tall gift bags and rolls of gift paper securely in place. I also took some spools of curling ribbon and stacked them onto a narrow cardboard gift wrap roll. They help utilize the long tall lower basket perfectly. Without the security bar for tall items, this wouldn't work. The other similar products only have the baskets and not this bar, so they aren't an option for a gift-wrap solution. Also, I have read some reviews saying it's not very sturdy. To that, I would say they are not installing the track bars correctly. There is even a 7-second video listed showing how the product is the worst, but all it does is show how they installed it incorrectly because they didn't secure each track. There is plenty of hardware included for all kinds of doors and walls. If you use the toggle bolts provided and secure each track, individually to the door or wall it doesn't move one bit. I do suggest measuring twice and setting up the baskets before you screw in each track to make sure the desired slots to lock in your baskets are free and you can see where to install your hardware. I set mine up on the floor first with the tallest of the items I wanted in place in the baskets and then put some blue tape where the slots would be used on the track. I'm so happy with this rack! It's such a great economical solution installed on a previously unused wall inside my closet. Now when I open up my closet door I get to see all these bright cheery items on the wall and it makes me happy.

Excellent, easy to install shelves save space and keep things organized.
We purchased two of these -- one for the pantry to hold spices, and another for the bathroom. We wanted some extra space but didn't want to have to mount another cabinet in the bathroom, and wanted it behind the door in the pantry. I love these racks! *Super easy to install -- took about 20 minutes to have them both up, and put them up by myself. * They are LONG...lots of space, and easily adjustable shelves. * Purchased these with the Command wire hooks on Amazon -- perfect combination. The hooks allow me to anchor the sports where the racks can pull away from the surface, without having to put a screw into the door itself. I can remove them if I want to or adjust as needed. * Great for storing many spices, but the shelves are wide front to back and the spices can slide -- we sometimes double up. * Having the adjustable shelves allows us to accommodate A LOT of stuff in both rooms -- great space saver, and keeps things organized and easy to find. Before you purchase: *Make sure to measure the door, and take into account the doorknob placement! *Get extra hooks, and just put up three on each side (second shelf from top, middle and third shelf from bottom). You can add extra hooks as needed. Turn these sideways, with the hook attached to the frame and the plastic base on the door (see picture). *Don't try to place the hooks for a super-tight fit; mine all popped on the bathroom shelf at first, but when I did a snug but not tight fit, they have stayed on with no issues for 6 months with no signs of loosening.

Worth the money - would definitely BUY AGAIN!
Have had this organizer for almost 7 years - still functioning same as day one! I use it in my kitchen as pantry space - so it carries a lot of weight (cans, sugar, broths, drinks, etc.) - all with no bending, breaking, etc. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Design needs a little work, but it's the best on the market!
This things is great! I'm using it on the back of my apartment bathroom door, because the bathroom has ZERO drawers and only one small cupboard. Pros: This shelf holds an unbelievable amount of hair care bottles, makeup, medicines, first aid supplies, towels (rolled) and washcloths. I thought it wouldn't be enough to hold all my goodies, but there is plenty of room to spare. The frame is heavy duty, unlike some other brands, and the shelves are sturdy and hold a lot of weight. You can buy extra shelves and "corrals" (the extra rail that holds taller bottles in) from the Closetmaid website for just a few dollars each, but I have no idea why you'd need more than the 8 shelves it comes with. There are four 4-inch high shelves with corrals for taller bottles, and four 2-inch high shelves for shorter items. The shelves are exactly 5 inches deep, so you have plenty of room for fat bottles or multiple thin ones in front of each other. Cons: As other buyers have mentioned, if you don't want to damage your door with screws, you need to use Command Hooks to hold the rails in place, because without those (or the included screws) you just have rails hanging freely off the top of the door, and the rails are in three sections per side, which are NOT securely attached to each other. They have a small bracket which hooks them together, but it just slides in and hangs, so it is not a sturdy attachment. The clear plastic/metal Command Hooks that others have used in the pictures work PERFECTLY, and smarty-pants Amazon recommended them to me as an add-on that others have purchased with this rack. You'll need 6 hooks to do the job. One under each of the four rail joints, and one at the bottom of each rail. By securing it this way, you'll alleviate a number of problems: the rails will stay together, the rails will stay flush against the wall so that the rack doesn't bang against the door, and you'll keep items from slipping out the back of the open-backed shelves. I took one star off of my rating because I really feel that this solution should be included in the package. Most people who need this kind of extra storage live in apartments where damaging the wall/door with screws is not an option. These hooks add an additional $8-$10 to this storage solution, which is more than 25% of the original cost. Another con is that smaller bottles and items really need a shelf divider on the side to keep them upright. I have no idea why Closetmaid sells dividers for their other products but not this one. Perhaps because you could attach a divider to the front of the shelf, but there's nothing to attach it to in the back. My solution was to buy some small storage boxes from the hardware dept and put my smaller items inside those. The 5" shelf depth is prohibitive for storage box options, but Akro-Mils AkroBins makes a few models that will fit, depending on how wide you want the box to be. I chose Akro-Mils 08212Sclar 30210 Plastic Storage Stacking AkroBins for Craft and Hardware (6 Pack), Clear and they fit perfectly. The same company also sells lids and dividers for those little boxes, should you need them. There are additional options that are the same depth but wider, if you like. Tips: If you're hanging this over the door, make sure that you place it as close to the handle as possible to avoid it banging into the wall. (Mine still hits the wall behind the door, but much less so in this position. I put a rubber bumper behind the corner of the bottom rack to prevent wall damage.) You will want to hang the first two rails using the over-the-door brackets, then attach the rest of the rails with the flimsy connectors, letting them hang freely. Then attach one shelf to each section so you can use them to help you square up the rails. Then place a Command hook through the back of the holes under each of the rail joints, and one at each of the rail bottoms. Let them hang freely until you get them all in place, and be sure to position the hooks so that the pull strip points OUT away from the rack, and is not underneath the rack (or else you won't be able to pull the strips when you want to remove it.) Once you have them all in place, pull them gently away from the rails as you affix them, so that the rails are tight against the door. Viola! Bottom Line: I've researched and used a ton of these products and this is the best option for the money. It takes a little patience and tweaking, but the end result is worth it and I would recommend it.

This thing is PERFECT. And STRONG. Holds all my tons of cans and water bottles!
This was a unit that went over my basement door on the inside. It was very easy to install. I did opt to use a drill to put screws in the center section to stabilize it and those were in just the right place. I think I put screws in the bottom section too but i am not sure. The top is just suspended over the door and I forget if it has the option to put screws in, but believe me this thing can hold maximum stuff. I know this because I used it to store all the canned goods have had in our pantry. It ate up every single one, and there are tons. It has the bigger shelves at the bottom which hold the fatter cans. It's configurable to the height you want for each shelf so I was able to make extra tall ones for large sports water bottles. It ate up all 12 of our large sports water bottles and all our tons of cans of beans, tomato sauce, corn, artichokes, olives, etc. This thing is huge and awesome. I could not be any happier. Definitely get this and make your life awesome. Our pantry is free now for other stuff and changed our whole kitchen for the better, plus you don't have to fish for your cans to find things, they are all laid out along the inside of the door in perfect display and you always know when you need more of something, again, without digging around. I love this thing, best purchase for kitchen ever. If I had another door to put it on, I'd definitely buy another.

Fantastic Organizer! Opened up so much space in my pantry
Within 10 minutes of this arriving, we were working on getting it up onto the pantry door. After reading some of these reviews, I was a little worried that this was going to be a bigger project than I thought it would be. Believe me, it was so much easier than what some people stated that it would be to attach to my pantry door. I debated whether or not I wanted to add the over the door hooks or not. Because of the weight that I was going to add to it, I decided to go ahead and attach the door hooks. I don't think my pantry door is a solid door. It's does have 6 panels but I think it is hollow. With one reviewers recommendation, I did add zip ties to secure the hanging frames together. Thing is, if you do use zip ties, don't pull them too tight or it will pull the rack frames where they won't be aligned. After getting the two frames all set, I put a couple baskets on so I can set the distance and look to see where on the door I want this rack set. Because of the indents from the panels on the door, I set the screws on the level flat part of the door. One suggestion is to use washers with the screws. The head of the screws are just a wee bigger than the slots. A washer makes sure the screw is set straight and doesn't dig into the frame part. (see picture) I used a drill and pre-drilled my hole. Then screwed in the screw with the washer on it. This kit only comes with 4 screws. I used 6. 3 screws on each side. I might go back and add another screw or 2 on each side, just to make sure it holds solid. As you can see by the picture, it looks fantastic! It has opened up so much of my space in my one cabinet and my pantry. Spices will be so much easier to find now. Only thing that happened is that because I added so much weight to my pantry door, the door latch doesn't work right. I'll be replacing the door handle soon so I will have to re-adjust the hole so the door latch catches it right. I am so glad I decided to get this pantry organizer. I will be looking into other organizers so that things are a bit more easily found in my cabinets and in my pantry.

Great product, but needs some MacGyverring to make it work
Let me first just say that after reading all of the difficulties I went through with this product, I would still recommend it. You just have to be willing to do a little MacGyverring to make it a useful product. Thank goodness I read the Amazon reviews from people before I purchased it, so I went ahead and bought the sticky 3M hook tabs (to hold the unit to the door and prevent it from moving around with each open of the door) and zip ties for holding together the vertical tracks (because as other reviewers said, the vertical attachment pieces included are absolutely useless. (I did the over the door installation because I am in an apartment and can't do permanent changes.) However, I did not buy sturdy enough zip ties. I had (2) 50 pound tensile strength zip ties holding together each of the vertical track connections. I finished loading up my kitchen pantry rack, with a modest & even distribution of weight, and all of a sudden, ALL the pieces below the part that hangs securely over the door crashed to the ground, zip ties breaking, glass jars of spaces shattering, and bending one of the vertical tracks. So, having gone through two processes of this (I bought one for the kitchen pantry, and one for the back of the laundry room door), these would be my recommendations for people doing the over the door install: 1. To screw in the bolt/nut that keeps the hook on the top vertical piece, you WILL need a few tools. Needle nose pliers did not work for us like they worked for one reviewer. We had to use a Phillips head screwdriver for the bolt and an socket wrench/ratchet for the nut. 2. For attaching the vertical tracks together: The fasteners they included in the box are 100% absolutely useless. You're going to need some zip ties or a wire. After having my whole unit crashed to the ground, I did a combination of both. I used one heavy duty 75 to 100 pound tensile strength zip tie and picture hanging cable wire wrapped and twisted around the vertical connection hole several times. So far, that is seeming pretty sturdy. I also placed a basket bridging each vertical pieces for extra support, as one reviewer suggested. 3. LOADING: I personally would load the baskets BEFORE you put the 3M sticky hooks holding up baskets and tracks to the door. Depending on how you load them, they're going to shift around as you're loading and will weaken the 3M tabs if you stick them on first. For loading, since the most sturdy portion of this is going to be the top vertical track because of it hanging securely over the top of the door, I would put some of the heavier items up top-think glass jar condiments, canned foods, glass jar spices, etc. I put my heavier condiments, glass jarred spices, etc. at the top. For the laundry room, I put the heavier items like batteries, candles, etc. up top and kept lighter things (dog treats, tissue boxes, etc.) below. I am an organizing fanatic and this, despite the assembly struggles, has been such a great purchase. It has given me a lot of room to organize the pantry items with room to breathe. I would buy 5 more if I had the doors to put them on :)

Spacious, handy storage solution
I bought this to replace two screw-on spice racks when I came across a lightning deal. I'd been pretty dissatisfied with the previous racks because spices would fall out every time I opened the door. Boy, was this a great replacement! I am very thrilled with my purchase. The awesome: nothing ever falls out anymore. You can shut the door as hard as you like and everything stays in place. Since this is a real closet organizer, the shelves are adjustable with plenty of space to spare between shelves. It was easy to mount and only required 4 screws to hold it firm to the cupboard door and keep the rail clips from coming apart. The potentially bad: the over-the-door brackets fit my door perfectly. This may not be the case if you live in an older house with thicker doors. However, if your doors are solid-core you should be able to just mount the rails directly to the door with the included screws. Which brings me to a second minor complaint: the included screws (even the shorter ones) are a bit too long for thin, hollow core doors. I worried that I might actually punch them right through the door. Instead, I used 3/4" (or so) screws that I used to mount the previous spice racks. Overall, I love this pantry organizer and I have only these very minor complaints.

Great way to maximize space.
I was looking for ways to create more space in my tiny pantry and found this product. It’s perfect for our tiny door and holds a fair bit of stuff. The product was easy to put together and it only took about 5 mins to get it assembled and installed. The only downside was that the clips that hold the different sections together did not do a great job. It fell apart as I trying to get it over the door. I put baskets across the separate pieces to keep it stable. I secured the bottom with foam tape because I did not want to drill into the door. It has been working well with no issues. All in all it’s a great product to maximize space. I would recommend it.

Strong, with plenty of storage space.
Sturdy, extremely practical with the option to shorten the height to fit the door. Owing to the ledged and braced design of my wooden door, it was necessary to use different screws to the ones provided, as these were intended for masonry or dry lined walls. However, it was not a problem to fix the metal supports to the door with the correct screws. The depth of the wire baskets provides plenty of storage for provisions. It has given my small walk in pantry much needed space. Highly recommended.

Perfecto ora optimizar espacios.
El estante es bastante bueno. Recomiendo que midan bien el espacio en donde lo piensan poner (mide 1.98 de largo), es fácil de instalar. Me sirvió bastante para optimizar espacio en una pequeña bodega.
