Good exercises though sometimes a bit depressing
Working through this, good exercises to reconnect with your partner though they sometimes seem to focus on the downs in life more than the ups.

Interesting
Great but i wish it came as 2 books so you could write answers independently then trade and discuss. It would encourage more honesty and real answers. It takes time and effort but i really believe in doing your relationship homework so everything can run smoothly and you can see the areas where there might need to be more compromise or discussion. I really love the layout but as i say, 2 workbooks versus one would be helpful as you are both writing in the same thing and it therefore takes more time and i think it mmakes it easier to just agree with your partner, which isn't really the point of the book

It's okay...
I usually enjoy The School of Life's work and perspectives on topics however this book isn't what I'd call a 'workbook'. I'm a Therapist and I found there to be WAY too much waffle in the way of activities and summaries of what they should achieve. If you're coming at this as a workbook then be prepared to be disappointed and overwhelmed with overly whimsical and embellished versions of love. It does remind me of someone who enjoys the sound of their own voice in book form, rather than instructive, informative, conscise and achievable. Ultimately a nice looking and sounding coffee table book perhaps but not that practical for all.

Insightful and Practical
Excellent book founded in a great awareness of the troubles couple face and which truly fosters improved skillfulness in mutually improving and enlivening your relationship. Recommend.

We broke up, and we never used this beautiful book
Can you make an equivalent for growing through breakups?I got this for me and my partner of 4+ years. We had it for quite a while and we never got a chance to start the prompts and discussions together. We broke up a few weeks ago, and I remembered this book and started reading it on my own. Just reading through it on my own has given me some valuable insights on my relationship and a lot of universal challenges people experience in relationships. The book also supports a somewhat pessimistic view on relationships: they’re inherently disappointing. I wish we used this book but it would have required a lot of energy.

I had to throw away…. Made worst
Its such a pessimistic and hard view towards relationships, strange approach, brought not only sometimes fights but depressing feelings like no one can really enjoy living together, i regret I bought this book… i had ti throw away , didn’t help us at all…just made kind of worst …

Negative
This book takes a really pessimistic and negative tone. The prompts and activities are all very dismal and only bring up negative subjects and conversations with little/no advice, help, or strategy to complement it.
