I bought this for someone who felt Shakespeare's language too obscure / difficult to understand. I had reservations about what I would think, expecting it would not adequately represent the poetic nuance of his work. I was wrong. It does an excellent job of 'translating' the text into today's english while of course the original text is on the facing page. Very impressed, happy to recommend.

This series of books is fantastic. They are so helpful for understanding Shakespeare. They definitely take away the pain and difficulty of reading them. My dyslexic son uses them for GCSE and I use them as an outline/first introduction to some of the difficult texts as an undergraduate!

I was happy with this book. I read through the whole book in a few days and it was a great resource to get ready to watch the same play being performed. I like how you have the old English easy to compare with the modern English on the opposite page.

Excellent. Arrived quickly and the modern text alongside the original Shakespearean text made it easy to understand.

This was just what I was looking for - it helps me understand the words we use differently or don't use now, thus making it easier for me to understand the character I am playing.
