Brilliant Boots!
I've actually bought these to protect my dogs injured paw on walks but also to stop him licking it (instead of using a cone). I combine a dog sock and this boot and it stays clean and dry and unlickable. Tested the boots in rain, can confirm they are waterproof however after long periods of use the seam around the rubber sole does give away and let water in. We use those for inside once they get like that, no reason to throw them as they are still very much usable otherwise. These are definitely well made so don't let that put you off. Mine have warn them over all terrain for several years before they come apart. My only advice would be to buy the right size, go a size up if you're not sure because these can rub on the paw if not fitted right and be very uncomfortable to your dog. The straps can be tightened up - make sure they are or the boot will slip off and always make sure the paw is all the way to the bottom of the boot. There should be no space between their toes and the end of the boot, just as you would your own shoes!

Brilliant boots
Our 14 month Doodle managed to shatter a front paw nail :(Off the the vet we went and he had it seriously cut back under sedation. He was sent home with a neoprene type “booty” that had a pleather base i.e. super smooth with zero grip. It was also XXL and about 6 inches long meaning the Velcro fastener was way above the wrist = completely ineffectual and the booty would work itself off during a walk. That meant lots of readjustment (several times a walk) around an area that was sensible for the dog.First walk out - he tore a hole in the front of the vet supplied booty (his other toes pushed through it basically). Queue me trying to use gorilla tape etc to stop further damage. That didn’t work. He was also dragging the end of the booty over rocks / tarmac as the boot slipped down and hung off the end of his toes / foot.2 days in it snowed! Queue a dog with zero traction on one front foot and an anxious owner wondering how long it’d be before he twisted his wrist / elbow!! Not good at all.Ordered these as they looked much better and actually had a proper shoe like sole with grip judging from the photos. Order arrived - too small (size 6) but I was impressed with the quality so persevered and ordered size 8.Larger size arrived......total success! :DThey are fantastic. Much better sized and so much easier to put on thanks to a funnel like opening that you cinch up with the 2 x velcro straps. The footbed is spot on and comes up to provide some protection to the toes as well as providing welcome grip! We managed a couple more walks on the snow and our dog was MUCH happier and much more energetic.......a mixed blessing when you’re trying to keep him quiet but lovely to see :PThe boots themselves fasten just above the wrist and stay put. We’ve had zero issues over several walks and his foot has remained dry - we also now have a further 3 x spares should we need them :DAnyway, if you’re facing a similar challenge to us, these are a must have. We may well actually start using them more regularly as a way to keep paws a little drier during wet walks. They’re so easy to use it seems like a good idea :)

Good quality but didn’t fit our greyhound well. Choose bigger sizes for greyhounds.
Great product and stayed on for the whole walk, but unfortunately they were too small despite using the size guide. We have a greyhound (corns) so his feet are difficult to find the right size boot. The width of his feet is 5.5cm so I bought size 5, width fine and seemed to fit fine at the start of the walk, but when we got back he was really sore/worse limping and his pads were red because the length is too short so they were rubbing him. For other breeds I’m sure they’d be great, but we ended up buying another pair of longer boots and these are wasted on us. He is an approx 33kg male greyhound and size 5 was too short, I would recommend minimum size 6-7 for this breed.

Not very durable, causes irritation on dew claw
My dog wears these for one walk each day, he already had gone through a pair within a few weeks and the stitching of the rubber parts had already started to unravel and hung off. After a while we noticed that his dew claw (only one as he doesn't use his other front leg) was being irritated by the shoe. We tried bandaging it down before putting the shoe on but this did not help. This seems to be a prevalent issue with dog boots. However, out of all the boots we've tried these have stayed on very well. Although I am looking for alternatives for his front paws (due to the dew claw). If you're not bothered about having to replace these often and your dog doesn't have dew claws then these could be good. Otherwise I'd avoid this product and look for shoes that have cut outs at the dew claw.

Ideal for my arthritic dog - they fit securely, are comfortable to wear and protect her feet
The media could not be loaded. Our elderly Labrador has been wearing these boots for well over two years and they have made it possible for her to continue enjoying walks in spite of arthritis in her hocks. Back in mid 2020, some time after she was diagnosed with arthritis, she became very reluctant to walk. Luckily we realised that due to her weaker back legs she was dragging her feet and making them sore. She has been wearing these boots ever since and we think that is the reason she has stayed so fit and active. I have just ordered the seventh set of boots! They wear out not because of the quality of the product but because they are very well used and they take the brunt of her dragging toes. As she only wears them on her back feet, we get two pairs with each order which helps. It is a bonus that they keep her feet dry and clean in bad weather, although water can get in over the top. They are also great for hot pavements in the heatwaves we have had. She is now 15 years old and still enjoying a 40 minute walk in the morning and two or three shorter walks throughout the day, we couldn't do this without the boots. We have only ever lost one boot (although they might come off a more active dog) and she gets admiring comments from other dog walkers too.
