how can 1 gallon cover 300sq ft when other gallon pool epoxy paint only covers 125 sq ft

Thanks for your inquiry. There are many different epoxy coatings on the market. Adcoat's is a hybrid which combines the flexibility of an acrylic coating with the durability of an epoxy catalyst. This is a waterbased formulation, offers ease of application and a 6 hour pot life. It covers up to 300 sq ft per coat (2 coats recommended). The porosity and texture of the surface will dictate this amount somewhat. The ratio of Part A to Part B is 7:1. The thickness of the coating is similar to that of a quality latex paint. Can this be used on pool slides as well ?

Yes. Adcoat's Pool Paint can be used on slides!! Properly prepare the slide, dull glossy surfaces, patch and clean then apply two thin coats. Best to use a quality roller for smooth surfaces. Allow to dry in between coats.

I would definitely do an acid wash. I used this paint without an acid wash and had lots of peeling. Preparation is critical I think.
