Hultafors Tools 650110 Dry Marker Refills HRD G*, Graphit

Keep coming back when I need more refills for my hultafors pencil. The travel container is so well designed. Durable enough to handle some firm pressure when writing on less than smooth surfaces. Sharpens well with the built in sharpener!

one of those tools that you never realized you needed until you experience it - after a lifetime of the moronic flat carpenter's pencil (who said so?) this pencil is a delight - the leads don't bust particularly easily, the color choices for the leads are outstanding, the built-in sharpener is great, overall a pleasure to use

Great pencil

The different colors stand out against contrasting surfaces, e.g. dark woods like pressure treated & white marker. But they're not nearly as hard as graphite, and must be sharpened frequently if you want to maintain fine lines. I haven't tried any other brands so I can't speak to comparative value. The holder is convenient, easy to use, to select and/or change which pencil "lead" to use. For me, the bottom line is that they are much more visible than a graphite line.

If you work in construction, this is the pencil for you. Good value on replacement leads. Durable.

My husband uses these

This is a great product and so is the mechanical pencil of the same brand that uses these. The refill container is sturdy and has survived in my tool bag since their purchase. These lead refills have served me well in the electrical trade.
