Hold down the COG button for about 5 seconds and when an audible noise is heard, it signifies it is active Select the desired temperature using your up and down buttons. It will flash back to the current temperature and will take a while to reach the chosen temperature. When you set the temperature on any of the digital models (DH4 – DH11), for example, 12 degrees, the digital temperature gauge will flash five times and then it will display the internal actual temperature at that point in time. When you activate the control panel, the 12 degrees will flick five times again, showing you that this is the temperature that you have set. The set temperature will not be reached immediately, but the internal temperature will start to adjust according to the temperature that you have set. When you set a higher temperature than the current actual internal temperature the unit it will stop cooling (go quiet) to make the interior temperature go up to your set temperature. There are no heaters in the units so the speed at which they increase temperature will be directly related to the ambient temperature in the room. If the ambient temperature is much lower than 25 degrees then it will take much longer for the unit to increase temperature due to not have a heating function. The speed at which the temperature increases depends directly on the ambient temperature. The reverse can be said for when you set a lower temperature than the current actual, the unit will start working and the speed at which it arrives at the set/desired temperature will again be directly affected by the ambient temperature.
