Beautiful Book
This is a beautiful written and illustrated book of recipes! I recommend that you need to read the tips and instructions in the Introduction first, before jumping straight to the recipes. There’s so much useful information there. The only thing I would love to see added is an index of recpes in the back of the book.Otherwise, I’m very happy with it!

Beautiful book! Definitely worth it !
The book it’s beautiful. I feel like a fairy reading about herbal beauty when I’m reading this book! It is gorgeous. Easy to read and catchy, will make you want to keep reading & learning how to make your own beauty products but in a natural & healthy way!!!I truly dislike the beauty industry, and how much they try to sell us all “this magical” creams/shampoos etc. Influencers advertising the products that are full of chemicals and bad for our healths just for their own convenience $$$.So I am learning about herbalism and I came a cross a Herbalist youtuber that recommended this book and I ran to purchase it so definitely worth it!

Great Book, worth the purchase
I'm studying to become a herbalist and eventually open up my own shop, this book helps to give me baseline recipes so I can make my own and it also helps to let you know what certain ingredients do for you. If you want to learn about natural skincare and how to make it, this is a great starter book.

Tons of inspiration
Great book. Tons of recipes and information! However, there are only recipes. If you are looking for formulations this book doesn't contain that. If you would like to, you can convert the recipes over to formulations by using some simple calculations. I typically convert the recipes into parts, then into percentages! Takes some maneuvering, but I think it's worth it.

I’m not sure if this should be a 3 or 4 star rating
I have been slowing making changes toward whole plant/home grown products in my home, including tinctures, decoctions, personal care products, cleaning products, etc. That means limiting my use of essential oils due to the high concentration of volatile compounds and my sensitivity to many of them. I was so disappointed to see so many recipes in this book that call for essential oils. Granted, some are listed as optional but several were not, especially those calling for some of the most expensive essential oils available like Melissa/Lemon Balm and Helichrysum. There are lots of good recipes in this book that call for products that are not locally found where I live. I was hoping that most would include plants that I could grow or forage on my own. Unfortunately, there are lots of products that need to be purchased to make many of these recipes. While this is a good book, it did not meet my expectations for a natural, available, and sustainable ingredient list. I regret this purchase for that fact.

An Essential
Currently studying the companion course thru Herbal Academy. I appreciate the simplicity of the recipe book’s layout—it’s very easy to follow and the binding is perfect. Full of classic recipes that can also be modified/experimented with... Happy it’s in our library now.

Wow, which I had this years ago
Okay, so. 3rd edit. Sent a replacement book. All is well again. Really great book.I originally gave this 5 stars but I’ve had my book less than a day and my pages are falling out.Such a visually appealing, well layed out, chalk full of recipes for everything under the sun in a fairly compact book. I meant to just glance at it but escaped into reading and marking everything quick. So many recipes! I love it! An absolute must have. Just when I think maybe I have enough books and I couldn’t possibly find another fantastic book I do. I don’t even know how I found this. I think I was looking something else up.Only downside is no index. Which is useful looking things up by recipe more efficiently.

Doesn't provide formulae or correct chemistry
Whilst it has lots of nice sounding recipes, it doesnt use precise formulae and some of the chemistry in the recipes seems incorrect. Overall the book misses out key information and details on how to use preservatives and emulsifiers correctly and doesnt explain the chemistry of how certain ingredients blend. This book seems designed mainly for recipes that need using straight away o that need to be kept in the fridge, and does not focus on products that need to be stored for a long time.
