Good quality paint
I completely transformed my built in entertainment center. The paint looks great and I only used one quart. The paint is thick, so by adding a bit of water, it makes it easier to apply.

Now I know why they call it milk...
After a couple weeks of researching paint products, I chose this one to re-coat my kitchen cabinets. Huge mistake. I chose a light Alabaster color (off white) to paint over my light colored, raised panel, factory finished cabinets. I wanted the most professional looking finish that I could find and read many reviews that said this paint was the smoothest, easiest to use out there and you didn't have to go through the two coats of primer process. Well, I'm happy to have saved those steps -BECAUSE I'M ON MY 4TH COAT OF THIS MILK AND I STILL NEED ANOTHER ON SOME DOORS!! This is the most translucent "paint" I've ever dealt with and I'm a contractor.....all the endorsements for this crap must have come from the company. Here's the real story : it does dry smooth, but only on large flat surfaces with a foam roller not the many complex routings of a raised panel door. Apply too thinly - another see through coat, apply too thick - runs like mad. Brush marks badly. I'm so far into it that I have to finish with it... and accept the amateurish finished product..So let's review : General's Milk = 4 or 5 coats of milk, 3 coats of topcoat, sand and clean in between means 8 coatsor Ben Moore Advance : 2 coats primer, 2 coats paint - hard as a rock, see ya laterI was stupid on this one, I'll admit. By the way, I tried to call their tech dept for some application tips. Guess what they only have a fax number on their website...no phone. Now I know whyShame on Amazon for selling this junk

Good paint for non-drywall walls!
The general finishes milk paint is more expensive than regular paint, but so worth it if you have walls that aren't the typical drywall. We did board and batten on ours and my husband didn't want to use regular paint on his nice, new wood :) This paint went on smoothly and looks perfect! We did add some snow white to the alabaster to lighten it a bit. Besides that, we couldn't be happier!

Worth every penny!!
Amazing product for redoing cabinets! We scrubbed the crap out of them with Krud Kutter, 2 coats of primer (kilz) and 2 coats of Alabaster and they look amazing. The cabinets started out as the orange oak. Due to weather we haven’t finished the doors so I’ll update with pictures when those are finished but I HIGHLY recommend this paint! The bathroom cabinet is the next project with it!

No smell, easy clean up
The lighter colors will need a third coat of covering a dark color. Photos are after 2 coats with Alabaster and Blur Moon. The blue is perfect after second coat. Definitely need a top coat - the paint will not last without it.
