The motor stops about 2 inches apart and I have to manually pull to close completely.** A: The pulleys will never touch in the middle. You should have the overlap metal piece connected to the pulley to ensure the curtains overlap. You can also try to reset the end positions by holding the motor button for 3 seconds. Then open and close the curtains as normal. Overall, a fun project, and great result at an excellent price! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Nice product, awful experience connecting using the app but in the end works with Home Assistant *by P***N on March 17, 2026* OK, first the good stuff. This is a really nice high quality curtain track - the extrusions are really nice, the fit and finish is great, and it's pretty easy to install. The bluetooth remote is also easy to pair with the motor unit and it is super simple to switch the motor direction if open and close are the wrong way round - just press the little black button 5 times... The not so good stuff - the screws supplied to mount the wall brackets are thin, and don't work well with the plastic drywall plugs, and worse - if they happen to screw into wood they are very thin and tend to break off (using a 20v DeWalt drill, not an impact driver) The awful stuff - connecting to wifi. What a performance...it took me 3 days to finally get this to work, after trying 2 different phones and setting up a new wifi system just for this ...it turns out that SmartLife (the Tuya app) is very bad at changing wifi systems. What worked for me was using a PC to monitor wifi networks, and a phone to connect: 1. Phone on the correct wifi network, in the SmartHome app, wifi curtains selected, slow LED flash button selected 2. Power up the motor 3. Press the button 3 times, light flashes 4. On the PC, display wifi networks, wait until SmartLife_xxxx appears 5. On the phone, connect to SmartLife_xxxx, return to the SmartLife app 6. On the PC, wait till the SmartLife_xxxx wifi goes away 7. On the phone, connect back to the wifi network the motor is being set up on. 8. On the phone, return to the SmartLife app After doing this, it works beautifully in Home Assistant using the Tuya Local integration..
