Leaving Bennett Behind Book 3...finally...enjoy the journey, it is filled with interesting events and misunderstandings...
Book #3 is finally here and I can see what happens between Alex and Mary. Their trek is amazing. Oh, I thought Darcy and Elizabeth could hear things and build their own "reality" without asking any questions. That is nothing to her middle sister and the viscount. But I love stories that show Mary as a woman of worth, education, strength and intuition. She just needed a few more pieces to this Alex-puzzle to make the right decisions. When Fritz explains that to each of them in private discussion then they seem to get the idea they need to talk. Thunderstorms continue to bring revelations to the Bennett sisters, though Lizzy's pregnancy has their effect magnified in her life.So what is with the evil Wickham(s)...yes there is more than one, but I won't tell you about them. That is part of the drama and yes,if you have read the other two books you know that the evil Lady Catherine is demented and has several really bad people in her employ. In her mind if Elizabeth and the heir are no longer around then Anne has a chance at being mistress of Pemberly and Rosings. There is something really wrong with her and it may be linked to the "headaches". Some people never seem to let reality effect their imagination. But the story is not over..the last page said To Be Continued...the wait begins again. The characters are well developed and by the time you get to book 2, or 3 for sure, you will feel like they are family. I love these sagas that take time to really develop characters and bring in elements of intrigue and suspense. Who did Anne see in the fabric warehouse??? What was that all about...you will see by the end of the book. We found out about Anne and the Colonel in book 2...but nothing happening yet...hope it is in book 4 because I have always loved Anne and the Colonel. She deserves years of a loving husband after a mother like hers for over 20 years. For animal lovers there is always Beatrice and Benedick...so cute.Enjoy this one and join the long line waiting for Book #4...Thanks Sarah for taking us on this delightful journey. It is well worth the wait.

Why is next next book not published yet?!?!?!
I couldn't wait for this book to come out. That being said, I read it too quickly... It took me about 5 hours. I have been enjoying this version of the Bennet family immensely and can't wait for Kitty's & Lydia's stories. I'm curious how some of the sub-plots will fit into their stories as neither girl has had a lot of development yet. My only disappointment with the book was when it ended. Perhaps if I hadn't read it so quickly, I would have been happier, but I just wanted the story to keep going. I love a good series, but hate having unanswered questions and not having the next book available. Is the next one ready yet? :)

Love how together this is
Love how this series keeps you going. Mary and Alex are adorable together. Lady Catherine what are you up to? G.W. And George what are you going to do? We know these three caused some problems. Darcy is handling this well, but Colonel Fitzwilliam is awesome. Great Storyline.

Not for me
This entire series isn't quite my cup of tea. This one in particular, no one actually talk except to misunderstand each other or in miss Bingley's case knowingly spreading bad intel. It feels drawn out and repetitive and as it the writer has a word goal in mind but doesn't fill it with enough good writing to keep me interested. Instead I've given up on this series several times and only me desire to finish reading everything i start saw me through. There is too little written about the happiness and too much with odd plot twist that doesn't really make the characters grow but is there to make sure the story doesn't end yet.I do think this series has potential, but they could have used a bit more editing.

A good read
It was interesting to see Mary Bennett get a story of her own. It was a bit disappointing to come to the end of the book and see that the loose ends of the story were still not come to a conclusion. I realize the author is doing this because there will be other books in the series, but it is much more satisfying to me when each book within that series can also stand alone.

What's next! As much as I liked the series about the Bennett sisters, I am ready to have an ending and an epilogue. Some of the series was frustrating with so much misunderstanding but aft e three year and several rereading I am ready to know what happened with all of the miscreants in the story. Will there be another book?
I recommend this book to anyone who like reading about the Bennett's and like a different slant than the original Jane Austin's story.

Jewel M Scott, author of "The Twinkling"
I am a huge fan of any of the many, Jane Austen's adaptations of my most favorite book, "Pride and Prejudice" but these books were especially well written in fact it seemed to me as if they were just a continuation of the great author herself. I can't wait to read the next one, you go Sarah Johnson, you have done Jane very proud indeed!

A new one to add to favorites...
I love Mary, Primrose, and Beatrice. You must read to find out why. Started reading this one again. If request can be made, "Dear author please write a couple of sequels to this story. Thank you." Just loved it.

Very nice
I would have liked to have given this five stars but In places I did find the story dragged a long or raced away from me! I was also very disappointed that the author chose to skip past Charlotte's big day wedding and then we've not heard anything else about her and Ash. I felt as though I'd been teased for so long with Mary and Alex's epic romance only for the conclusion to be something of an anti-climax. The ending unforgivably rushed given that there is a fourth instalment coming; the author should have continued her usually brilliant story telling at an enjoyable pace. I'm waiting with baited breath for the next stage in the tale....

Only negative is we have to wait for the next book
Otherwise this is an excellent series BUT having your interest teased and left wanting answers to what happens next, spoilt my enjoyment a little a very little!

A worthy pursuit...
As others have stated, you need to read the first two books before starting this one:'Chosen (Leaving Bennet Behind #1)' Elizabeth Bennet and Mr. Darcy'Cherished (Leaving Bennet Behind #2)' Jane Bennet and Mr. BingleyAlthough all the sisters have a running story in each of the books, we finally have Mary's story and Viscount Primrose's pursuit of her resolved. It has been a long struggle for both of them with misinformation and eavesdropping causing the most problems. However, others work very hard to help them both open their eyes. I have enjoyed the overall development of Mary's growth and Viscount Primrose is definitely worthy of her."This aching in her soul was not something she could discuss with anyone." (quote from the book)The plot line for the villains continues to gain steam and attempts are made on the life of one our beloved characters. More pieces of the puzzle are unveiled and Lady Catherine's headaches seem to be getting worse and causing Anne de Bourgh much concern. There are definitely some very interesting twists and turns revealed in this book that are holding my attention, and I look forward to reading if any become resolved in the next book which is now out "Treasured (Leaving Bennet Behind #4)". This will feature Kitty Bennet and Jonathan Lucas.
