Puppy Surprise Caramel Plush

My little sister's had Puppy Surprise when they were younger, a long time ago. I was so excited to see it back on the market that I had to get one for my daughter. The surprise is that when you purchase a 'mom', you don't know how many puppies she will have inside of her. We actually ended up w the biggest amount, 5 of them, including the barking runt. The puppies are a mixture of girls and boys which you can tell from their little pink or blue bow collars. My 2 yr. old son took such a liking to the puppies that I learned that there are 'puppy packs' which are also actually marketed the same way, as a surprise, since you might get 2 or 3 puppies in a pack. And I was able to buy just a puppy pack for my son. The puppy packs are good to know about in case your Puppy Surprise mom comes w fewer puppies than you had hoped for. These stuffed animals are just too cute!

My daughter loves this toy. She had to have the rainbow one which was sold out everywhere. I was so glad to find it on Amazon. It comes with a mommy dog with baby puppies inside her belly. You can get puppies of either gender and anywhere from 3 to 5 puppies. We got 4 puppies - 3 girls and 1 boy. One of the puppies will bark when pressed. Each puppy looks a little different. The nice thing is that the puppies can be stored back inside the mommy's belly so they don't get lost. It is a little bit of a tight squeeze to get them back in and sometimes the puppies catch on the Velcro that closes the belly. Both the mommy and baby puppies have soft bodies with plastic faces. It was so much fun to pull out the puppies and discover how many we got and their gender. My 3 year old daughter loves taking the puppies out and putting them back in and playing with the mommy and the babies. This toy has provided a lot of entertainment value during the day and she sleeps with it at night.

So glad I was able to catch this at the regular price $24.99 before it went back up to more than double that. It's a cute little dog, as expected. I agree with the other reviewers, the box looked like it had been opened, there was a tear in the corner/crease of the box, and the piece attached to the dog had been bent so obviously someone had checked her puppies. Ours came with just the 3 minimum (one that barks). I'm fine with it though because these were sold out in all of the local stores and online elsewhere. My daughter has been begging for it for Christmas. Can't wait to see her face Christmas morning!

When I received the box, it appeared to have been opened. I will keep it as a gift, but am very unhappy. It seems someone was searching to see what the babies were. Very unhappy. I feel I received a used product.

I was very disappointed with this puppy surprise. This is the only thing my daughter wanted for her 4th birthday and could NOT WAIT to hear the baby puppy bark when she got it. When she opened it this morning none of the puppies barked but one made a bizarre humming noise like the battery was dead....unfortunately there is no way to change said battery since the puppy doesn't open so none of her baby puppies bark. I also find it discouraging that she never gets more than 3 babies in any puppy or kitty surprise, I know this is the "norm" but I wonder if there are ever really 4-5 puppies. For the price I was very upset that her puppy didn't bark, especially since she made me watch the video 37 times and show everyone she knows how the puppy barks. This is too pricey to not have the puppy work or have any way to fix it.

Well my granddaughter loved it. I have no idea what this does or does not do. The only thing I see other than being soft and cuddly, it the surprise you get when you open up the belly of the dog and see how many puppies it had. But cute and she loved it, so that's all that matters

I wish my daughter had gotten four or five puppies instead of three but that's not a problem with the actual toy, just me being greedy. I got her from a nice lady selling them on here and she actually sent a handwritten note with the doll. Really sweet. It made me smile. My daughter absolutely loves this doll. Worth every penny.

Like the idea of these but they are made of cheap materials for the high price! I like that one of the puppies makes sound and that they're all different-- we got a runt which was fun. However, we got only 3 puppies and all were girls. My daughter wanted a boy so I got her a different one and we got 3 girls again!! We went through 4 different ones and got 3 girls every time. I'm so disappointed. They should have more quality control so that there is more of a variety of pups inside. Also, the price is just too high for these!

Lame toy, lame company

My 5 year old daughter asked for this for Christmas. she loved it for all of 5 seconds before becoming bored. none of them are cute, in fact they all look a bit weird and mutant. the tiny puppy has a battery that says if you eat it, you will die. with a toddler in the house that had to be hidden. it is the only puppy that 'does' anything (as well as potentially kill you) so for the money, this is a load of rubbish really.
