After studying these ceramic fused blocks from multiple vendors, it seems they are all identical in construction - so why pay more? Extremely porous and durable, I'm using these in a Laguna pond filter and they seem to be keeping up with the flow great. Ammonia and nitrite remain zip00. They don't get dirty/ clogged with a good pre-filter (and you don't wash them, anyway, right!) I suspect a fair amount of pumpage is bypassing these little bastions of bacterial goodness, but they're a little nest helping keep my fishies happy! Much better than the bio brick the filter came with

The block allows a high rate of water to filter through the block. This will allow the beneficial bacteria to grow and filter.

Nothing to put together, how refreshing. I think these are going to work just fine. I put these on my sump plastic grid just before return pump section and I feel it just some added protection against ammonia spike. Seems to be great idea and addition to reef tank.

Bought these a month ago theyre holding up well but we will see if they break down with time but so far all good
