Sodium Ascorbate is a MUST HAVE Vitamin
If I had to suggest one supplement to anyone, it would have to be Sodium Ascorbate. It is far and away the greatest supplement ever created. There is almost nothing it doesn't help balance in the body. For those of you who don't know, regular Vitamin C or ascorbic acid, needs to become a salt in order to be utilized. When you take in Ester C, Vitamin C, Calcium Ascorbate, or other forms, it needs to be converted to Sodium Ascorbate before the body can utilize it efficiently. When you take Vitamin C as Sodium Ascorbate, it's far and away the most effective Vitamin C you can put in your body. Not only is it more effective, but it also doesn't irritate your stomach whatsoever (besides a little watery stool if you take too much).People marvel at the fact that I don't get sick. While my diet is pretty darn good, I know plenty of people who eat pristine diets who still get sick fairly regularly. With Sodium Ascorbate in the range of 5-10 grams per day in your diet, you can't lose!

Great source of Vitamin C for dogs!!
I give this to my 10 month old Great Pyrenees pup daily for the many health benefits it provides, especially for a growing puppy. This is a great form of Vitamin C for a growing dog because a dogs digestive system doesn't handily the acidity of the more common form of supplemental Vitamin C (ascorbic acid).Ester C, which is Vitamin C in the form of Calcium Ascorbate is better tolerated by the digestive system, but contains a significant amount of calcium, which can be harmful to a large breed puppy, since they need to avoid extra calcium in their diet for proper structural development.Sodium Ascorbate is great because it is a well tolerated, non acidic form of Vitamin C that is very easily put to use by the body, and doesn't add any additional calcium. I love the powder form because it is easy to customize the dosage and sprinkle on food, and the taste is not bad! (slightly salty)

An ABSOLUTE for a Mom's arsenal!
THIS STUFF IS A LIFE SAVER!! This is perfect for ALL AGES in the family. I started giving it (in a smaller dose) to by youngest once she was off formula/breast milk and onto almond milk. Remember, it's sodium ascorbate so it's a bit salty and not appropriate to mix in water really (at least for kids). Anything wet (applesauce, juice, yogurt, milk) is ideal and they won't notice it at all. I slip a full dose in both of their drinks now nearly daily for maintenance (littlest is 35 lbs and oldest is 55 lbs). It is WATER soluble so no need to worry about overdosing on this stuff... and I promise you, those first colds of the season will pass you by, or at the very least, be much shorter. I mix it in my protein shake or branch chain amino acids after the gym every day, and I'm sick twice a year. Maybe.

Great supplement
I purchased this product to megadose on vitamin c to help with fibromyalgia pain. It's a white powder that gives the benefits of vitamin c without the stomach upset. I'm able to take 5-6 grams a day without any side effects. It decreases pain somewhat allowing me to function during the day. The only issue is the taste. Be sure to mix it with a flavored beverage - it makes whatever it's mixed with taste "flat" but other than that it's great. It mixes well and goes down easy.

It's vitamin c.
Seems to have a good absorption rate for general care. If I'm sick, I will take Lypo-spheric vitamin c. I like the sodium ascorbate better than the citric acid because it doesn't tear up my stomach. It's not sour like the citric acid either.

DIY Vitamin C Swimmer's Spray
I developed pool itch and chlorine rashes after about two years of long-distance swimming, about 5,000 yards a day. After I got a chemical burn on my chest that was about the size of a medium pizza, I knew I had to start some sort of regiment to stop this from happening. Before I swim, I put petroleum jelly all over my body, and after swims, I used chlorine removal wash to get off the chlorine. My final step is to use a solution of Vitamin C Sodium Absorbate crystals in distilled water to spray my entire body. This DIY spray is a lot cheaper than Vitamin C sprays that you can buy online or the swim shop, and it works just as well.Furthermore, these Vitamin C Crystals are really inexpensive compared with similar products. SInce I am a cheapskate, this is a win-win.Source Naturals Vitamin C Sodium Ascorbate Crystals, Supports Immune System, 16 Ounces

best form of vitamin C I know
Those Day-Quil commercials mocking the "Vitamin C" woman are really annoying for me, because it misleadingly discounts the value of therapeutic doses of buffered, bioavailable sources of vitamin C such as this one. The vitamin C they add to the medicine is not going to make much of a difference unless the person is near scurvy or something like that, but more people will buy it thinking it will help them just as people buy regular vitamin C tablets thinking they will help them. Unfortunately, ascorbic acid isn't going to cut it.My family takes a pinch of this stuff at any sign or symptom & we have had great results. Additionally, this is the one for you if you are wanting to megadose on vitamin C for therapeutic benefit (not supplementation, because the extra gets excreted & if you're not sick or fighting off something acute, it won't do much good before ending up in your pee). It also makes great gargling solution (with room temp water - not hot) for sorethroats.
