It is very effective at keeping flies and clegs away, and I even put it on my hands, arms & face and have never had any reaction. It smells lovely - like mint/menthyl. It is also very soothing for the horses' skin and has stopped our very itchy mare from rubbing her face bare in places, which she used to do. I cannot recommend this product enough - I would be lost without it. The midgies here are terrible through the summer, as well as clegs in July, but this has really helped the fight against them.
