Pretty legit for shelf-stable, unchilled, kimchi. Super convenient.
I have to say, this is pretty legit kimchi for something from a shelf-stable bag! My cousin's wife, who is Korean, makes a lot of homemade kimchi in a variety of recipes, and since we hang out a good bit, I eat a lot. Not an expert, but I know the good stuff. This is not homemade, but any stretch, but it is far, far better than I expected. I purchased these for a lengthy camping trip, for when the fresh veggies ran out, and was pleasantly surprised when I cracked open a bag. The texture is excellent, there's some radish and thick ribs left to give it a nice crunch. There's a nice little heat, but it isn't demanding, has some proper funk. Now I get these pretty often. They are really convenient to snack on at work, or dump in a ramen, or stir fry with some rice when I am in a hurry. I find one package is a good-sized serving for me. Even my 15 year old likes them (I find the wrappers in her room). Just don't expect the depth and intensity of homemade or some of the quality refrigerated ones from H Mart, and you will probably enjoy these. The two spicy ones are pretty legit spicy, and I love heat!

It's delicious, versatile, and has great texture.
I've never had Kimchi before but wanted to try it and I wanted it to be real Korean. A lot of people are touting fermented foods and I was interested. This is delicious! Flavorful, a bit spicy, crunchy napa cabbage and so easy to keep on hand because it's in shelf-stable packets. The 8 packets are sturdy, came in a firm cardboard box--everything was easy to open. There are three servings per packet and they are small servings by U.S. standards but it works. I had the first as a topping on a pork steak--excellent. The second I had alongside a small steak. The last I just ate as is because it was delicious. It would make a great sandwich addition--hot dog, burger, or chicken. I'm planning to try it with everything I like. It's low carb, low calorie, no sugars, and even the sodium is low enough for me. I have to restrict my salt. I'm also diabetic so I pay close attention to ingredients. No guilt food. A side dish or a condiment. Fermented cabbage may be a health food but I'm going to be buying it because it's delightful.

Not your usual kimchi
My family are a kimchi lovers. We buy it by the pound. We always go to our local Asian market for our kimchi. We didn’t have the time to go and get it and figured we will order it from Amazon. This one was very bad, taste and small was very off. Not the usual kimchi flavor. Also you can’t return the product since we’ve open the package and used one packet. $12 to th e garbage.

If you gotta have it- this is the next best thing to fresh kimchi
I love fresh kimchi in the refrigerated section of the supermarket. I like to eat it just as it is. This canned kimchi is ok for hot dishes like scrambled eggs. Omelets, grilled cheese, fried rice etc but not for eating right out of the can. It does not have the same crunch and freshness that refrigerated kimchi has. I cannot get kimchi where I live rurally. The quality for canned is good and the quantity is great for one maybe two persons for prep. It is convenient. Not too spicy.

When you need kimchi in a pinch(i)
The package doesn't claim "live cultures," but it does say "gently cooked." According to the Wise Oracle Artificial Intelligence, all indications point to the probiotics from the fermentation process did Not survive the "cooking." There is a certain sliminess to this kimchi that I wasn't expecting, compared to the refrigerated glass bottles from where I previously got my kimchi. That is explained by the inclusion of Xanthan Gum, "a thickening agent and stabilizer that prevents ingredients from separating." It's certainly a thickening agent. I sure would have liked to try the product without the thickening agent. Regardless, add a little cayenne powder, and the taste is good. It's just that the Xanthan Gum makes it seem not-as-fresh as the bottled variety. So, cayenne is good for circulation, there's a pinch of potassium, and fiber is good for digestion. But that's not what I bought it for.

The real thing
This is the closest I've eaten for authentic Kimchi. I lived in Korea the nearly two years and loved Kimchi

I Think it's Yummy.
My first time trying kimchi. I have nothing to compare it to but I know I like it a lot. The price of this was high considering the ingredients used, but it is nice to get the idea on taste. I liked it enough that I've decided to find a recipe and make my own. It was well worth the try for sure. Perfect crunchiness and spice for my tastes.

Unexpectedly Delicious ! Must try
Honestly, I never thought kimchi would taste this good. The flavor is perfectly balanced — tangy, slightly spicy, and full of umami. It doesn’t feel overly salty or sour like some brands I’ve tried before. I started adding it to rice, eggs, and even sandwiches, and it instantly elevates the meal. It also feels light and gut-friendly, which is a great bonus.
