Definitely worth the money, but watch your shots. I had a bullet hit the area around the mounting hole (had gong hanging from Shepard's hook) and it caused a crack the entire thickness of the steel. I don't know if it was the .223 or the .308 I was shooting that caused the crack (I'm thinking it was the .223 that caused the crack), but I'll keep using the gong till it fails.**UPDATE**Shot about 100-150 .223 rounds at 100 yards with no problem, but with the crack in the hanging ear part it only handled a couple .308 rounds before that part broke completely away from the main body of the target.In summation, as long as you don't hit near the top where the hole is at, this thing should last a long time.

If you are looking for perfect laser cut circles this item is not for you. If you are looking for high quality AR500 targets for a very reasonable price, these are for you. These appear to be hand cut, so they aren’t perfectly round, but I only use them to shot lead at so they work for me. If you plan on using these to solve geometry problems, I suggest another brand. Again, they are hand made, so the holes aren’t perfect, but I place them on Shepard Hooks and they hang perfectly fine with no modifications or filing. If you read the description the seller explains he cuts these underwater, which can generate some oxidation to the raw metal, leading to surface rust. The rust is easily removed with an all purpose cleaner & a little wipe down or a quick sanding. For a little extra touch after you clean them, you can purchase some spray paint and make them any fabulous color your heart desires. These are pit free and deburred so prepping is easy enough and minimal. If you want to support an American Small Business and enjoy a great product at a reasonable price then these are the way to go! If you need perfectly cut circles that are already powder coated then you should move on to the more expensive ones.

These steel targets are fantastic for hanging out on a Shepard hook and plinking all day long! They come in not painted. Pistol calibers and 22LR won't do any damage to these steel gongs, but be sure to be at least 50 yards out for rifle cartridges. 5.56 dented the metal some at 50 yards. Great value for the money and loads of fun!!

Ordered (1) 8" and (2) 6" gongs. They arrived on time and packaged securely. I threw a coat of fluorescent orange on all targets and took them up to the mountains with a Ruger 10/22 and an AR15 (.223) last weekend. Both the 6" and the 8" give very positive feedback from ~100yds (no problem hearing the dings with ear pro on.) I was able to make some semi-circular holes around the edges, but that was with the AR at ~100yds (55gr range ammo). Great product, good price, and I will never go back to shooting paper targets again.

Works very well. This has been hammered 1000 times from 6BR, 30-06 and 308. Not a dent. All the shots on this pic is 308 with 168g SMKs.

So I bought the steel target in 2017 and then bought a different one about few months later. This steel target has gone through more rounds than the other steel target. As you can see, my rounds barely made any impact on the gong, except for the sides. I shot it with 9mm, .223, and even 308 at about 50 yards. As for my other metal target, it looks like it took a few hits and left with some craters.I highly recommend this gong target. I am waiting for this to go on sale for 20 bucks so I can have two.

I have used this target for 2 years now, and it is a favorite. My next purchase will be a larger size, the 8 inch is ok with optics at 100 yds, but a 12 inch would be much better for handguns with iron sights at 100 yds. I use it with .22, .38 special. 44 mag, .223, 30/06, and it is undamaged after 1000's of rounds.

Great targets! I shot them with my .44 magnum and 310 gr hard cast bullets at 25 yards and got a nice, visible dent - but no hole! Painted mine white with a pink center circle. Ordered two more in the same size to set up at 50 yards, might get one or two a little larger for 75 - 100 yards with the hand guns.
