3M 8511HB1-C-PS Sanding and Fiberglass Valved Respirator

We bought these to stop choking in the horrible air quality from forest fires in Canada. There was no place to get away within hundreds of miles.The small fire particulate is actually known to go from the lungs directly into the blood stream and some can cross the blood brain barrier.We were trapped in our house in 96 degree weather and air conditioners do not filter smoke. These masks were life savers. The burning feeling in the throat, dry mouth, heavy chest, and mental fogginess/sleepiness disappeared within 15 minutes of wearing. What a relief!!! A God send.In addition we ordered tears style eye drops which we highly recommend. It's been nuts.

This product would've been perfect if they asked me how to put the supports for the mask. Currently they have it top and bottom to go in your head, so you would have a bottom and top loops for the support. Not sure why they did not use the typical "loops hanging by the ears" but instead they have it looping into your neck and head. It does the job it was supposed to but it's just a hassle taking it off, and inserting back because of the way the elastic bands go into your head and neck. Should've added it sideways using the elastic band hanging in the ears instead.

Comes in a flimsy box. The product's box could be strengthened to provide more rigidity to the contents inside, after all, the masks are soft and should be prevented from being deformed. The masks need to maintain their shape to provide protection the user.Other than my complaint about the box, which technically does not affect the performance of the mask, I have no complaints. This mask and its straps and nose hinge, does its job. It is comfortable, especially for people who wear it for an extended period of time. It holds up to extended use.For use in moldy basements, it is advisable to throw it away and not use it again after one long period down in the basement. A trusted doctor mentioned that using it again causes users to breath in the mold spores that we want to avoid breathing in. Just FYI.

Much cheaper than the brick and mortar stores! Make sure to pinch the metal nose piece to seal around your nose! I didn't know that was not obvious, until I had a co worker complain of still breathing in dust and fogging up safety glasses. Come on man! haha, pinch the nose to fit your face!

Purchased these to wear during the Paradise/Camp Fire. We live three hours away from the fire but the smoke in our area was horrendous. These masks did a great job with all of the dangerous particulates floating around.

be aware that for this to do its job, it must be tight against your face. i find i can’t breath well enough to use it for walking the dog. these aren’t for everyone! because of that exact reason. people with breathing issues should absolutely never use these without a doctors ok, because they can overwork your heart and lungs, which is dangerous.

These work great. I have used one for several weeks now and it still filters out bondo dust while i'm sanding my car. I just blow it out and keep using it works great and I still have several left in the box.

It works.. We are hit by the haze from Indonesia this N95 really works. Easy to breath.. Very comfortable. It not like some where u have to loop the rubber band over your ears this has to be strapped to the back of ur head and neck. Some will find it uncomfortable but it gives a better protection from the haze.
