As my dad has gotten older, he has accumulated a great deal of ... "stuff." Stuff that he must have with him wherever he goes. For a few years, he carried his stuff around in a canvas sack upon which coffee had been spilled and ketchup dripped, among other less pleasant things. It had a distinctive odor. Any time we referred to it as his purse, he became quite offended and insisted that he was a guy and would never own a purse. I guess he's just old school that way. So, I bought him one of these, even though he has never, and will never, own a laptop. It has lots of room for his stuff, and he's able to find what he's looking for inside it much more easily than he could with his old canvas sack. He can sling it over his shoulder like a purse, but it's not a purse, it's a briefcase! It's nice to be able to go out in public with him again without his sack attracting looks of dismay and mild disgust. I would highly recommend.

It's a really good bag, although the snappers are somewhat unruly. the straps are just for show and they connect to the body by a magnet. it can be hard to fit the piece on the strap into the magnet on the body. it does hold well once it's there, but if you have a laptop in there you'll want to zip the bagclosed, because if it gets jerked around good enough they'll detach.Overall a great bag though, even knowing the magnet shortcoming (which, thinking about it, would be pretty difficult to design yourself out of) I would still buy this bag. I love the Tan canvas / medium leather and robust canvas straps. the zippers are also extremely sturdy, but keep in mind with any zipper, that you need to be careful when pulling your laptop in and out because you'll scratch the top and rip off your stickers.

So, I was looking for a light bag for my file folders that had multiple carrying options. I have a shoulder injury and I two herniated discs in my neck. I couldn’t find a backpack that would hold files horizontally and I can’t use a rolling bag in the snow, so I settled on this bag because it allows me to use it as a briefcase (with the leather handle), a shoulder bag, or a messenger bag. This bag is great quality for the money. Canvas and real leather. It snaps shut shut but also zips. It is a little small to carry everything I would normally carry but it does hold everything I need and it forces me not to overload my bag. This is a good thing because I’m less likely to aggravate my injuries. Overall, I’m glad that I chose this bag and I recommend it.

The bag arrived today. I ordered a black bag and it came with a dark brown shoulder strap. It is too bad that the manufacturer didn't put a black strap or try to match the leather on the bag. The leather on the bottom of the bag seams to be frayed along the edges. The bag seems to be sturdy.

My son picked this case out as a Christmas gift. Perfect size and looks more professional than his college backpack. Great for a young person starting into business. Hip yet functional.

Perfect size, awesome back side zip pocket (easy wallet finding, separate from all the 'stuff'!) but cheap, tacky looking 'leather' that's bright gold, not at ALL what the picture shows & to top that off, they put a dark brown strap on it - totally(!) out of place on this bag. It had excellent potential, but then they cheapened it up so bad it killed it.

The Laptop messenger bag was purchased for a friend who joins us for coffee downtown every Saturday. He always brings a stack of books and journals to write in before the rest of us arrive.
