Works well, feels like nothing.
So I _thought_ I liked Pacific Shaving Co Natural Shaving Cream (old formula) until I tried this. Now I am finding myself hard pressed to even finish the tube of cream because this really actually does work even better. I got it to try because I was not happy that they changed what I liked (the shave cream is a new formula) and thought I would give it a try - and even if it was only ok I could just use it for travel, but on trying it I will now use this as my daily driver (well, daily-ish). To use, you put (per instructions) 6 to 8 drops on your (wet) face. When you do so, it barely feels as though you did anything - especially if you have a couple of days growth (remember that -ish?). I was bracing to experience the fun of shaving with basically nothing (for a stroke or two then maybe go to what's left of my shave cream), but really it worked - great. So MHO, give it a try and don't freak until you actually drag the razor across your face.

Just no.
I’ve used the PSC shaving cream before (with the lime green font) & LOVE it. I also tried the caffeinated (red font), but it irritated my skin. Then, I saw this & thought it would be an even better alternative. Maybe more soothing since it’s straight oil, possibly last longer, perfect travel size, etc. Unfortunately, this didn’t work for me either. I used the recommended amount & it was literally like using nothing at all. It dragged so badly & totally scratched me up. I was so disappointed. I can’t say I’d recommend this, so I’ll stick to what I know works for me.

This shaving oil is now my preferred shaving product.
I hike and backpack, and was looking for a small, lightweight product to help me shave when on a backpacking trip. I always try my backpacking products before heading out, so I've been using this shaving oil for several weeks. This shaving oil is now my preferred shaving product. The shaving oil does a better job of lubing my skin before shaving, makes shaving very smooth, makes it easy to see my skin while shaving, and leaves my skin smooth and moist (lubed) after the shave. Compared to shaving cream, the shaving oil gives me a closer shave with no nicks. For me, a small dab of oil on my finger rubs easily onto a section of my skin; 6 to 8 small dabs and I'm ready to start my shave. Saves on water use too; only need to rinse out my razor once after shaving. I'd guess anyone who shaves their head may prefer the shaving oil too. Great product.

Close, smooth shave without fear of cuts or razor burn!
Great stuff! Do not know what is in it but I get a better shave using this oil than ever I did with shaving cream. I wet my face, thoroughly, with warm water. Using eight drops, or so, I cover my beard with a thin film and shave. I use a double-edged razor and shave most every day. The result is a smooth feeling face sans beard stubble. I have been using this product for over seven years and recommend it, highly! I save money buying fancy, expensive razor blades and shaving cream. I really like this shaving oil!

Not impressed
I bought this based on the ratings.Honestly, I'm not really impressed with this stuff. I like the smell, but that's about all. I actually switched to using virgin/unrefined coconut oil. You can get a big jar for nearly the same price as this tiny bottle of "shaving oil". It goes on a little thicker so there is no blade irritation. It washes away (somewhat) cleanly, doesn't clog my pores, and leaves your skin soft (in a man-ly way!). It also works great as hand/body lotion or a face moisturizer. The stuff is amazing....but this is not a review of the awesome aspects of coconut oil.I didn't feel this shaving oil was thick enough. As a matter of fact, my skin just seemed to absorb it. It felt like I would need to use a quarter of the bottle if I wanted to be able to lightly coat my face/neck. 6-8 drops would do nothing for me.I am, however, glad I bought this. It got me researching "shaving oils" and led me to using the coconut oil I had been cooking with. If you're thinking about buying this, try coconut oil instead.

Neutral in scent and feel
This shaving oil works pretty well. It applies cleanly and makes for a comfortable shave. I use a double edge safety razor and use a multipass shave method (never against the grain). It feels as though there is still a bit of stubble left behind after using this oil, but I wonder if that might just be because of technique. I have tried it both by itself and as a pre-lather oil. By itself seemed to work the best as the lather washed a lot of it away. My only other oil shave comparison is some Shaver's Secret that came in a race swag bag. The PSC oil is more neutral in scent and feeling, which I haven't decided if I like yet. I rather liked the minty cool feeling that the Shaver's Secret gives. My biggest issue with the PSC oil is the dropper is a little too narrow, requiring a decent amount of force to get even a few drops out. Nothing I am sure a safety pin can't fix.

Electric Razor use
I wet shave in the shower with a Norelco wet/dry shaver. Previously I was using Neutrogena Shave Cream and it worked great, really, really great. Unfortunately, it's loaded with all sorts of chemicals and in an effort to get away from all of that, I gave Pacific Shaving Oil a try.The oil does not appear as though it'll do the job, but it does. I apply 8 drops to my face (the directions say to use 6-8 drops), rub it in, and then shave. The razor does not glide as smoothly or as fast as it did with the Neutrogena Shave Cream, but it does glide somewhat smoothly. I'm getting the same close shave as I previously did, but I'm not having to go over the same spot as many times, so that's nice. One thing I LOVE is that the size is very small, so traveling and going through security will not be a problem; it also takes up less space in my already-overcrowded shaving kit. Please understand, I don't dislike the oil at all, in fact, I kind of enjoy it, but I'm not completely sold on it either as I wish my razor would slide across my face like it used to. However, when I consider that I'm no longer smothering my face in chemicals, I will gladly continue to use it.On the directions they list how many drops it takes to shave your face, but with body grooming being so popular today, you'd think they'd provide information for how many drops would be needed for other body parts. i.e. 6-8 drops for face; 12-15 drops for chest, etc...

Smooth shaves and great value for money – no more shaving foam!
I was a little sceptical about shaving oil, normally using shaving foam or shower gel to shave my head, but decided to give this a go and I'm really glad I did. Instead of a head covered in foam, the oil allows you to see where you have shaved and where there is still stubble, the shave feels much smoother, and the skin is much more hydrated afterwards. I didn't think this would last as long as the advertised number of shares, but it has surpassed my expectations and looks to exceed the advertised 100 shaves. It's great value for money and I wouldn't hesitate to buy it again.

Pre-Shave oil. Rather effective.
Nice oil to assist softening whiskers pre-shave. Medium to high viscosity without much scent. Expensive for such small bottles, does go a long way. There is better oil for pre-shave, and closer sellers to purchase from. I do not think I will be buying this again, but I have only used it once. Try it for yourself and see if it suits your skin and shaving technique.

Great product, close shave, less irritation, smaller size
I initially bought this to stay light whilst travelling as an alternative to bulky foam/gels, but for the last year have used it exclusively for the following reasons.- A better shave, you only need a few 6-10 drops to get a close, irritation free shave- Small bottle lasts ages, for me that is 4-6 months but I don't shave daily so your mileage may vary- Tiny bottle is convenient to travel with particularly hand luggage onlyI haven't looked back

Amazing shaving
I have tried various shaving oils and serums in conjunction with the Panasonic wet/dry shavers I have been using for some years, and this is by far the best:- Just a few drops (6-8) give a really close shave, much better than similar products I have used.- Unlike with some similar products, no oily or sticky residue is left on the face or in the razor. Very little rinsing of either is needed.- The small bottle is convenient in the bathroom and even more so when travelling.- The product is not expensive compared to some shaving oils or serums.I have taken out a subscription for regular delivery, and don't plan on trying any other shaving oils.

Disappointed I’m afraid
Since the original Shaving oil (and still the best imho) David Somerset’s came into my life I’ve tried many shaving oils. The best require only a few drops for lubrication. The worst require a lot! This, I’m afraid, requires a lot.
