Sennheiser HD 220 Adidas Originals Closed Back Stereo Headphones (Discontinued by Manufacturer)

I bought these to use with my iPod because I can't stand the in-ear type headphones. I got these at a good price during a Black Friday sale, and overall I am satisfied considering the price I paid.- Audio: The sound quality from these headphones is GOOD, not excellent, but GOOD. . I have definitely had better sounding (and more expensive) headphones, however these are far from the worst that I have had. I'll just say that I would get something else before I paid $80 for these. There is some bass response, however it is a little less than I was hoping for. These do block out a decent amount of background noise due to the fact that they cover your ear, they also do not seem to blast the music you are listening to to everyone else in the room ... With all of that said, I don't think I will have an issue using these for the purpose that I purchased them for which was to listen to music while working out at the gym. These are a huge step up from the iPod in ear things.- Comfort: These headphones do NOT cover your ear in a cup, they sit on top of your ear, I was not sure how I would feel about this since I've typically been that person with the huge dorky looking headphones, but like the way they feel ... I have a larger head, and they feel very comfortable on my ears. They also stay in place enough for me to use during a workout, keep in mind I have a larger head and this may not be the case for someone with a small head.- Overall feel: I will be honest and say that this set feels a little flimsy, however I think a lot of that has to do with the fact that they are very light... I do wish they would fold up a bit more than they do for storage, the only movement that they have is the speakers can turn sideways to make the unit more flat ... Other units I have had allow the speakers to fold up into the headband making the entire set smaller, it would be nice if these did that too. I think that if they are taken care of, and not abused, the actual headset will hold up just fine. The cable jack, as others have noted, does look a little flimsy, however I'm not sure if it's enough to worry me too much about it breaking as others have posted here, either way I think I am going to re-enforce it a bit with something before using them too much to prevent a separation of the wire.Overall, I am happy with this purchase.

these do not appear to be HD quality headphones, there is no base reflex, the clarity is truly lacking. I dislike the product due to the overall lack of quality. By comparison, a pair of ear buds that were half the price of these headphones were much better quality. I immediately noticed the difference, however, did listen to these headphones several times prior to making the final decision for their return to the vendor.

Pros- looks super cool- really light, you almost won't feel it- comfortable on your ears, even after wearing it for a few hoursCons- sound quality is almost terrible. i don't expect it to be great, but this is not even 'good'don't get this if you want to listen to music, oh well, you can still hear music...

These headphones are absolutely terrible save yourself the money and don't buy them all your paying for is the originals logo the headphones them self are next to impossible to keep on your head and the sound quality is atrocious they can't handle any amount of bass, and they are insanely quiet have to put whatever your using on full blast just to be able to enjoy the music then you have to deal with the annoying attempt of the headphones to make bass

It's the color that caught my eye. Then I checked around to see what people were saying abut the HD 220, and decided to purchase them. They were good right out of the box, but improved greatly after they were broken in. They're comfortable to wear for long periods of time. While the ear pads are not quite as soft as the description, they are comfortable. Really not bad for everyday use, at the PC, or with mobil players.

My wife loves these, and they've lasted well, stood up to regular use.

All round great pair of headphones. Due to these headphones being under Sennheiser I had to give them a shot, not only for the branding purpose and knowing how great Sennheiser headphones have been in the past but also for the unique design idea behind them with the grouping of Adidas Originals, I personally think this served a great purpose upon myself for buying them.The sound quality was great as I would expect from Sennheiser with exceptional comfort, these headphones may look gimmicky to some but once owned you start to realise how great of a buy they really are. Due to these headphones also not having sound leak it makes them very robust for all situations whether that be in public places etc.The build quality is very light which makes them very easy to adapt to with no sign of exerting pain, however they aren't to a build quality were you think you could potentially break them.All in all great product and totally worth the money.

Got these for Christmas. Nice bass. Very good music quality. Headphones look great - nice color and stylish design. Very pleased.I am a drummer and they work well for playing to other songs; you can actually hear your iPod music unlike normal earphones. Worth the money too; pleased with this buy because they are 50 quid off the Adidas Store.Great service too; got the package within 3 days of ordering with Super Saver delivery and received emails telling me when my product was dispatched etc. unlike some 3rd party sellers!Recommend this product to anyone who wants a good pair of headphones that have good looks and good music quality, but don't cost a fortune (like Dr Dre's haha!)

when we first started using headphones on regular basis, these worked very well for children of 7 through to 17. 3 years later, however, have to say we've found others a little cheaper that surpass them particularly in reliability after rough treatment from younger children

Ordered these headphones and they took about 3 days to arrive, they come in a little adidas bag (to put in when unused). First thoughts are they look a little cheap for the price (but stylish) and that's the reason for 4 stars instead of 5 because the sound quality in incredible. I've only ever used in-ear headphones such as Sony and Apple but the sound quality is incomparable, not only that but they are comfortable too and the size of the headphones can be altered to cater for each persons comfortability. Only thing I would be unable to comment on is there durability but they seem quite sturdy, would definitely recommend.

The sound quality of this product is excellent comfortable to wear and we'll worth the money would recommend to others blocks out the other half very well
