Welcome to Jazz: A Swing-Along Celebration of America’s Music, Featuring “When the Saints Go Marching In”

I grew up in a musical household, so when I saw this book I knew I had to add it to our kids’ library. The story, music, and educational introduction to jazz is really cool.

Purchased this for my 3 yo grandson’s birthday. We read it together at first. After that he kept getting it out, turning the pages and listening to the music. The large buttons have a small area to push to play the sounds of the various instruments in a jazz band. This makes the child pay attention to which button he/she needs to push and what instruments they pick. The story line is a little advanced for 3-4 year olds, but still fun to read with them. This is a great way to help your child learn reading and musical instrument sounds. Explains the basics of a jazz band and keeps it simple enough for a child to understand. Should be a good book for him the next couple of years. Only minor complaint would be the page paper could be a touch thicker - children can be tough on books! Get this instead of putting your child in front of a tablet!

This is such a great and fun book, which was given as a gift to a 3-year old. He liked pressing the buttons with the sounds of the instruments and looking at the pictures. I believe he'll continue to enjoy this in different ways as he gets older.

Great book, but it is impossible to get the batteries out when they die. I’ve tried everything and am about to break the little tabs off!

This is one of my 4 year old’s favorite books. And I love that every time we read it, he’s captivated by something that’s both fun and educational. We hope there will be more in the series!

My 3 year old's favorite book! He loves all of the sound that the instruments make and the story. He knows when to touch which button and is excited to hear each sound. My son loves music and this is perfect for him.

Really fun introduction to jazz!

This little book provides endless entertainment for my Grandchildren.The music is great and the instrument sounds are very accurate.My youngest granddaughter starts dancing before I switch it on when she sees the book.Having just come back from New Orleans I’m hoping it will help to keep the memories alive.

Got for my son’s 3rd birthday. Massive hit! The way the story builds with the instruments and song segments is great.
