Special Tea Single Serve Cup, Yerba Mate Tea, 10 Count, 10 Count

I really enjoy using this product. I learned to drink mate when I lived in Argentina, where they put the yerba mate in a gourd with a strainer straw called a bombilla, and then they fill the gourd with boiling water, let it steep for a moment, and then drink it using the bombilla.When using the gourd and bombilla, mate drinkers typically refill the gourd with boiling water and "reuse" the yerba mate in the gourd a few times that way.I was very glad to find that I could do the same thing with these yerba mate K-cups, that is, I could open and close the coffee maker with the same K-cup and brew a few more cups of mate with the original K-cup!

I have purchased this product twice and will purchase it again because it is the only mate pod I can find, but usually at least one of the pods comes with top detached and the mate is not the freshest but I am picky and this does work and is very convenant!

these k-cups would not work in my keurig v2 machine so had to cut them open and dump in the keurig loose leaf basket which was a pain and the brew was weak to me. I won't buy again.

When there is not enough time to make yerba mate in a bombilla, this mate is a convenient choice. The brewed mate has the good strong, grassy flavor of green yerba mate. This is not roasted yerba mate. I use the same K-cup to brew a second cup of yerba mate. I have never had any problems with the quality of or brewing with the K-cups.

Didn't have the yerba mate experience I was expecting.

Enjoying the convenience when I don't have time to make it the traditional way.

Weak taste. Tastes more like watered down tea.

Expensive but awesome. This tea packs a wallop! Do your research before you buy because she will give you tons of energy..
