P2 is a watch during the holiday season especially Christmas
This is definitely a Christmas Horror Film because the way that the security guard and a employee had a chemistry between the two charcoal it just seems like the right path to the workflowing direction of development. The story realizes that the two characters focusing on one holiday season does has a empathy of taking a effective approach. P2 is worth a Christmas watch but there's many Christmas films out there but this one definitely makes me feel entertaining during the holidays.

parking pandemonium
A good suspenseful thriller. First off, in full disclosure, I would give a movie with Rachel Nichols simply standing around waiting for a bus 3 stars. Is why I took a gander at this seemingly formulaic flick in the first place. That said, the movie held up its end of the bargain and I had a good time with the watch, so I will bump it up a star. The stalker guy was one of those characters that will linger - of all the creeps running about in the movies I see this one will linger. Played well, added to the movie, not just a dummy with a dumb plan (even though he did indeed have a dumb plan) Even had a quip that had me laughing aloud, which came as a surprise. As with any movie in this genre (well, heck, any movie of any genre, it seems) there was a lot of lapses in logic, but movies are escape, even ones not about escape like this one is. A couple of deaths and some cringe worthy moments at that, but by all means not a splatterfest. Like the stalker in the film should be remembered once the credits roll, there are a couple of scenes that will linger as well. Thats a good thing. Even the "Christmas" motif fits. The only complaint I have is that by the end I was ready for it to end. Running around in a dark parking garage gets long in the tooth after a while, and if the main character did not look like Rachel Nichols while doing so I may not have been so patient with it. Ending was predictable but fitting (the back cover of the DVD pretty much gives it away as if we could not figure it out once we read the premise of the movie) and once it was done i considered it time well spent. Oh, and also, it does not seem like the stalker guy thought this out very well...I have no idea what his end game would have been. Finally, that parking garage really needs to do better background checks. I smell quite a lawsuit here. In conclusion, I would watch it again, I would recommend it to others, and I toast this one.

it works
i figured with a movie that only had 2 characters as the featured ones. That it would be hard pressed to keep me interested. But i was wrong as the characters Rachel Nichols and Wes Bentley play are more than interesting enough. Its not everyday that you get a movie based entirely in a parking lot (P2). As her character plays a hard working person that's working late on yet another project and she's on her way out to have Christmas with her family. But her car doesnt start and she has to go ask for help, enter Wes Bently who's security guard character "tries" to help her get it started. When that doesnt work, he offers her a chance to have dinner with him (then he jokes) like he was kidding. She of course turns him down. She gets a cab to come pick her up but when trying to leave the doors are all locked. This is where things basically take off and she's kidnapped by the security guard and "chained to a table" for a wonderful Christmas dinner that she wants no part of. She escapes and goes from there, lots of chasing, killing of a few unfortunate people. It works because it is believable that something like this could happen to someone in a parking lot at anytime. It makes you think again about that noise that you heard or staying late and not having someone with you when you leave late at night. Thats what it does for me and kept me thinking not unpredictable by any means. But P2 manages to keep me interested and excited hoping that "the psycho, cracked out and demented" security guard gets a Christmas gift of his own. :)

A real thriller! Well done. Not for kids. Too gory.
Great acting. Real suspense and violence, but the bad guy gets it in the end. Not for kids under high school, and probably better if they're in there 20's. Actually, I don't think it would do anyone any good to even seethis well-done, well-acted movie because of the violence.

P2 - Good, Solid Psycho-Thriller
P2 isn't destined for "Classic" status but it is a solid movie that I will end up watching several times over the years. It's a little gory in parts but I wouldn't label this "horror". This is your classic psychological thriller albeit a very basic one. There is not much depth to the characters. What really impressed me was how simplistic the story is - and I mean that as a compliment. I'm pleased that the director did not bring in a B-story to augment this movie. Over-complicating this movie would have negatively impacted the end result. The story is kept to one location lasting a few hours. The pacing - especially in the first 30 minutes - could have been improved but the last 45 minutes does not disappoint. The acting was top-notch. Rachel Nichols really runs the gamut of emotions throughout this film. She nails the nuances that makes her character believable - the facial expressions, the pauses in dialogue, the quivering voice all enhanced the movie.Wes Bentley was amazing. He was every bit the delusional psychopath needed for this story. One second he was tender and caring and the next he was an out-of-control screamer....and he pulled it off without being silly. So - good acting, simple story, small cast. All that results in a very likable and entertaining film.

"Escaping P2 On Christmas Eve"
A great thought up thriller & horror movie on Christmas Eve. When a young woman (Rachel Nichols) is stuck in a parking lot 2 with a sercurity guard (Wes Bentley) who is obsessed. And makes her watch what he does with a guy tied up. She tries to escape in till you see what happens till the end. The ending was shocking. Great horror film to watch during on Christmas Eve. I recommend this if you're a big thriller and horror fan just as much as I am.

P2.
I saw this on TV over Christmas and thought I'd add it to my collection; it's a fairly tense and gory wee thriller, an abduction plot that turns into a cat-and-mouse game β a cut above most thrillers of this type - well-made and with good casting. It wasn't a box office success, but it's sufficiently engaging to merit viewing again β it is a Christmas film after all, though not perhaps in the spirit of most of that particular genre. The standard UK DVD has three short featurettes β a βmaking ofβ, a look at the stunt design and a brief profile of the director; the main extra is a commentary.English subtitles are available if required.

Classic Christmas horror film
I caught P2 on television last Christmas, and loved it so much, I bought it on DVD and rewatched it this Christmas. You're likely already familiar with the plot from the the product description and other reviews, so I won't repeat what has already been said. Rachel Nichols is terrific in the lead role and Wes Bentley is excellent as the unhinged, deluded, psychopathic security guard-reminds me of Heath Ledger as 'The Joker' in 'The Dark Knight.'Wes Bentley is menacing but the dialogue is superb, and will make you laugh-out-loud at times because of the sheer absurdity of his delusions. There's also a great "Elvis" scene which could have come straight out of a Twin Peaks episode. If you like horror films with a strong female lead (Alien, Halloween, Scream, You're Next et al) and games of cat-and-mouse, you will love P2. It's tense, entertaining, has great music and really good acting. In fact, I think I'll watch it next Christmas too!

Gingle Bells SomeThing Smells Night Watchman's Gone Gar Gar
P 2What can I say,.This woman finishes her shift , I know its Christmas Eve but everyone likes to do a bit of over time right?,( money after the holidays comes in handy) and she's a heartfelt sole so on her way to the car she calls in to the night watchman's office and has a Christmas drink with him , (could do with more people like that) But what do you know when she leaves his office and attempts to drive her car out some evil so and so has locked the entrance gate leaving her with no way out .( don't you just hate it when that happens)To make matters worse it turns out this night watchman is responsible and has been stalking her for months and doesn't want to let her go ( just what you want at Christmas, I mean she had plans to spend the festive holidays with her family in Baltimore ) what ensues is a fight for survival and some very bad driving ( hope she's up to date on her insurance premiums ) . In all I enjoyed this film and recommend it as a good evenings entertainment ,my only advice is be careful where you park at Christmas

Genre classic
The performance by Rachel Nichols raises this well above many of its type. At no time does she do the helpless girl, or screaming useless woman part. A creepy thriller with only two main characters and almost no other cast. Sounds impossible to do but it pulls it off completely. This has the feel of a French film, though it is American. The US film industry rarely trusts the viewer, usually dealing out plot spoilers and warnings within a few minutes. This time, they have gone all European, letting the tension build and the plot take its course. The subterranean setting of the underground car park helps build the atmosphere, and adds to the claustrophobic feel of the film. Think 'Creep' without the dribbling monster. This is a situation that you can see yourself in, with no science fiction or unrealistic elements added, or necessary. For any fan of the slasher movie, psychological thriller, or victim against the odds plot, it is a must buy.
