Tommee Tippee Electric Breast Pump, very quiet USB rechargeable and portable unit with Massage & express modes

What an amazing product!The simple yet effective design that Tommee Tippee has made, makes this electric pump the most ideal device for breast milk to be produced from a woman’s bosom!Buying this device for my wife, having had our second child, the device was extremely easy to wash, set up, and charge the handheld device which was required to be attached to the pump.The pump itself has 7 pieces prior to assembly and once assembled you have an air tube which cannot be washed for safety reasons to be connected from the handheld device and the pump. Once this pump is all set up, you lastly require to add the Tommie Tippee bottle at the bottom of pump.Once in operation, it has two separate features to which you find it pumping out the breast milk. The first is the “set up pump” as I like to call it, about 8 short vibrations with one long, indicating the stimulus of the breast for milk, the second, the expressed pump is designed to enable to continuously encourage the milk to come out into the bottle.When my wife used it first, we managed to pump out 3 fl oz (approx 90ml), which is a major surprise.We highly recommend that if you were to go for breastfeeding and need to have some available for when it’s at night etc, to use this as this would be a life saver for you. We are certainly glad to have bought it.

This pump is perfect for my requirements... Breastfeeding baby but will tend to express at least once a day. Therefore this is handy to empty one side if baby has feed on the opposite to prevent the over-full feeling, and meaning baby can have an expressed bottle during the day/night so I can catch up on some sleep!Easy to take apart and clean in warm soapy water before then sterilising.The power unit is lightweight and moveable if you need to walk about etc, but you can also use it whilst it's plugged into the wall charging (just meaning you're more restricted in movement).Full charge will give you about an hour's worth of power. But it doesn't take long to charge back up via mini USB so handy in the car etc.2 settings of massage and express, with many different levels on meaning you can play around and find the best one for you which is most comfortable.There's a + and a - button meaning you don't have to go through the whole different levels before going back down a notch unlike some other pumps I have seen.Would recommend this pump, especially with it being only £60 odd when I purchased.Plus, you I have used with Tommee Tipee anti colic bottles which means no additional pouring. Just add the anti colic pieces into the bottle when storing or ready to feed.

It does the job. No leakages. Suction is good. Only thing is battery runs out quickly

Originally gave this bad review, but have now changed it too good review as we now use this without the comfort pad that goes against thr breast, which was causing suction issue, now flows well. Recommend not attaching that confort bit that goes on the end of the suction nozzle that you push up to your breast.

I had no idea what to buy breast pump wise. I wanted to express 1 bottle for my partner to do 1 feed around midnight to give me some sleep early on. It’s brilliant for me. The assembly after sterilising is easy. Just pop it on and press the on the button. I just let it cycle through the settings, which just starts off slow and gets faster. It’s slightly uncomfortable on the highest setting but not painful. I manage to express 3oz in 8 minutes, which feeds my 12 day off greedy boy just fine for 1 feed. The only thing slightly annoying is I have to lean forward slightly for milk to go in bottle because of the slanted shape.

This product ticks all the boxes apart from battery life. The pump lasts for maximum of 1 hour which means it needs charging for me twice a day, and each time it takes 3-4 hours to get fully charged! Unfortunately this isn’t an exaggeration and I’m really disappointed in the battery life as this makes it a massive drain of electricity and also sadly makes it very inconvenient to use or to take out with you. The only plus is that it does work on a flat battery as long as it’s plugged in to charge at the same time, but again, this makes it very restrictive! Great suction and easy to use though!

Great product

This is a great pump, easy to use and works well. The reason I will only give it one star is that you are unable to get replacement valves for this product. I contacted tommee tippee who say they dont sell replacement valves at this time. This means the pump does not last long and is therefore not worth the money as the valves only last a couple months. If I had known this at the time I would not have ordered this pump so be warned before you do. If this doesnt bother you then I would recommend this pump but it is a lot of money for something that isnt going to last you the length of your breast feeding journey!
