Tajima<OLFA
First off, I purchased the Tajima cutter and OLFA (both 9mm) at the same time specifically to compare them. On initial inspection it was blatantly apparent that the OLFA was the superior blade. The Tajima is okay, but it is NOT made in JAPAN like it shows on the blade of the Product Picture. The body is made in China, and the Blade is unknown. OLFA is pure JAPAN and it shows in the quality of the lock mechanism and the very deliberate clicks. As for cutting vs cutting (during tint install) the most noticeable thing was that the Tajima does not extend a decent amount at 1-Click. The bade protrudes maybe 1mm or less, when you go one more click it is a full break link out of the handle, which could be problematic in more tough situations. The OLFA was perfect and strong through and through. Both blades were adequately sharp, but again I favor the OLFA. I think that basically covers it. Good Luck!

Sturdy and sharp. For around 6 bucks, this is great.

Not too happy with Tajima
Like all others, this works for cutting items, etc., but when you use the tool to break off the old piece of blade, the tool doesn't fit the whole blade to snap it. The tool is to be turned sideways and only about 1/16th of the tool fits on the old blade and it snaps off in pieces, causing the new blade to have some of the old blade still stuck to it. Not happy at all with this item.

my favorite little knife
Despite having a few pocket knives I always seem to gravitate back to just using this. Lightweight, easy to open one handed, and goes back to being sharp as a razor just by breaking off the used tip. Very minimal with an almost all metal construction, can't go wrong with just black and steel.

Sturdy and nice action. Does not expose one blade section at a time.
After going through the reviews of this and the Olfa one, I intended to order both and compare them. People seem to favor the Olfa. Sadly, this is the only one Amazon sends to Australia, so I just ordered this one.It is surprisingly sturdy for its thin profile. The action is solid, and I am not afraid it might fail. The one thing I don't like is the blade exposure. The blade does not come out as it should. The breaking points are not flush with the mouth of the tool. When moving the blade out one step at a time, I get half a section, then one and a half, then two and a half and so on. This means that the break-off sections will not be used one at a time, and they will not be dulled evenly.I could use half a section and break it off, when it dulls out. This is difficult to do, as there will be only a tiny tip exposed, which limits my cutting ability. Were I to expose one and a half sections, I would have more blade to work with. I will therefore dull one and a half sections, instead of just one. This will result in wasted blade sections. For a utility blade with snap-off blades, I expected the snap-off part to work as intended.Still, it is the only one I could order from Amazon, so I'll take it. But I won't be buying another one.

always have one available
This is a tool I always have with (unless I expect to have to pass through a metal detector!).
