Wella Color Charm Liquid Haircolor 4a/237 Medium Ash Brown, 1.4 oz

I bought this to help transition my hair from a lighter blonde that was previously teal. I have a full understanding of how to properly measure and develop color, but I always seem to have issues with the liquid permanent hair color line. I would recommend trying the gel color with the creme developer, generally seem to have a better time getting a good color to hold. This can work, but the color might be lighter than what may come to mind.

Anyone wanting to save money rather than spending big bucks $$$$ at hair salons, Wella is the best for a natural look. Used with the appropriate developer your hair will look like you stepped out of an expensive salon.

I was over my bleached out balayage as it was looking quite brassy. I have dark brown/almost black Asian hair naturally. This gave me the nicest color.

Awesome color but fades way too fast. Wish it covered red tones a little better.

A little darker than expected for a medium ash brown, but a great product!

I have mixed feeling about this hair color.(pros) I don't have many grey hair yet but it covered them. I mainly wanted a color that covers the red undertones. Year ago I died my hair reddish brown and I hate it. I can tell with certainty that the ash brown covers red undertones really well.(cons) However it dried up my hair really bad. I had to do hair masks, leave castor oil on them (which does wonders) and so on. It took me months for my hair to get better.Overall it's really good if you want a shiny ash without red (or to cover red) but it will dry the hair very much.You have to be careful with the developer too.

This was almost black!

Not sure if this is a bad batch but I am not sure it worked for me? I've always used Wella toners and this was my first time using dye. I was trying to achieve a more medium ash color to counter my blond that was always turning orange. Too much upkeep after 2 years! This product turned my blond a very dark charcoal/ashy brown (almost black!). It wasn't my ideal color but I can deal with the change for now. I may even buy another box as I missed some red peaking through :( Otherwise please tread carefully with this product.
