Fits small.
I would say that these shoes run a bit small. My son is almost 14 months old and he was wearing Carter's Stages size 3 shoes so I decided to buy these shoes in a 4 thinking he would have room to grow into them. That's not the case, in fact his toes are all the way to the end already. Having never purchased Stride Rite shoes before I wasn't aware of the size difference so unless you have had them measured by Stride Rite I would go at least a 1/2 size up if you want them to have some room. I'm considering returning these and getting a bigger size because he's not going to be able to wear these very long. I do love the fact that he can wear these all day and doesn't even try to take them off. They are very flexible and he seems really comfortable in them all the time. They are made well and when it gets warmer he wear them without socks since the top has open spaces for some air.

Cute toddler Shoes
I ordered these and got them faster than expected. I live in Spain and usually make a lot of online purchases receiving them within two to three weeks; I got these shoes after one week!My son is 15 months old and has very wide feet, it is usually a task trying to find shoes to fit his little Hulk like feet, but these did the job! It is comfortable and he can wear them for a long span of time without wanting to kick them off. The material is very durable so I know they will last long after he out grows them. The inside is padded so his little ankles do not get rubbed raw as with other low cut shoes. My son's feet are 5.5 inches long and 3 inches across the toes at the widest point. I am very satisfied with this purchase and will being buying more Stride Rites shoes for my little man. Hope this review helps!

He is 11 months old and VERY good at walking now
My son likes these shoes. This was his first "walking" shoe, he was barefoot up until this point while he was learning to walk. He is 11 months old and VERY good at walking now, so I decided to start working on shoes. At first, he waddled like he was wearing scuba flippers, but each day I would put them on him for brief periods to "practice" and now he is pretty good. The sole is flexible enough to allow him to move his feet properly, but not as soft as I was expecting by appearances. Also, call it my own fault, but I didn't know where were holes in the shoe before I ordered the,. It's almost like a sneaker/sandal hybrid. Where the laces loop into the tan loops, there's open areas. With them on his feet and socks on I hardly notice, but it was worth mentioning. I am happy with my purchase and it was a very good deal.

Very good bargain.
It is very difficult to find good "new" shoes at an affordable price (around 20-30 instead of 50-70 !), knowing also that our little one is growing very fast. We know we can purchase "already used" shoes but don't we all want nice things for our kids sometimes? Well, I try to balance all that and Amazon has really good deal to offer like this pair of sneaker. Very good looking, nice colors, very comfortable without socks (it seems anyway, I didn't try it on !), easy to put on (just that one strap), just what I wanted for my toddler for summer (forget the "opened" sandals if your little one is still tripping over). And it is recommended by the American Pediatric Medical Association.

Summer Shoe Only
I guess I did not understand what another reviewer wrote when they said that the shoes had an "open top" - I thought, well yes, of course there is an opening so that you can stick your foot in! What she meant was that the shoe tongue is a thin strip, instead of being overlaped with the sides of the shoe like a normal sneaker. Therefore, there are two huge open strips on the top of the shoe that let in the cold and rain. I had to return for this reason. I think that this is very odd, as the shoe neither has the utility of a wet/dry summer sandal nor a sneaker that fully protects the feet.

Nice shoes but open on top
These are nice shoes, seem well made and I like the design for a new walker. However, these shoes are open on top, so not very practical for the wet spring we are having. These are called a sneaker, not a sandal, so I was surprised when I saw them for the first time. Would be great for a summer shoe.

Great for new walkers
Pros: Easy to put on and off child's feet. Also my son is new to walking and these are the only shoes he doesn't stumble over his feet in. Cons: They do start looking dirty quickly because of the light blue color shows dirt well. Over all a good but tho

Bought this because I really like the design
Bought this because I really like the design. It fits my son well and is easy to put on. It got a bit smelly after a while (sweaty feet?) but the insole is removable and washable so that was easily resolved. Wish it came in bigger sizes.
