Excellent pens, quick service. Hard to find this light blue ink, so I was particularly happy to find these.

I love these pens! Black, blue, red, purple... whatever! They feel nice in the hand, last forever, the ink flows smooth and you can press hard and the nib doesn’t bend. My students are always trying to steal my pens because they are the best and this is the only pen I use. I have dozens of them and if Pilot discontinues this line, I’ll be devastated. Trust me, I know pens and have tried them all. These are the hands-down winners.

Never in my life have I had the pleasure of using such fine writing instruments. They literally make me want to do school work.

For those who know some of the range of Pilot pens, my usual favourite is the V5 - gives a seriously fine line and has a distinctive 'prong' nib. That's what I tend to use...But with children needing school pens and me wanting to make sure that they write with something decent, the V5 has that basic problem of being totally knackered by ever being dropped on its nib. Bent prong = dead pen.This is the solution. The VBall or VB5 seems as solid as any conventional pen but writes much more like the V5. Actually, it's probably a bit smoother-flowing than the V5 and feels slimmer in the hand. It's ideal as a high quality school pen.I bought a box of 12 because they worked out at about £1.25 each. Usual single-pen cost is about £2 each.
