Colgate Optic Renewal Teeth Whitening Toothpaste with Fluoride, 3% Hydrogen Peroxide, High Impact, White, Mint, 3 Oz, 2 Pack

I drink way too much coffee, so I grabbed this Colgate Optic Renewal hoping for a little damage control. After about 2–3 weeks of using it twice a day, my teeth definitely look a shade or two whiter, especially near the gum line where stains usually hang out. The 3% hydrogen peroxide feels more “professional” than regular drugstore paste but it hasn’t made my teeth crazy sensitive, just a tiny tingle the first few days that went away. The mint flavor is strong but not harsh, and it rinses clean without that weird filmy feeling some whitening pastes leave behind. The downside is the tube is only 3 oz, so if you’re using it as your main toothpaste, you’ll go through it pretty quick, even with the 2-pack. It’s also a bit pricier than regular Colgate, so you’re paying for that whitening power. Overall though, if you’re a coffee or red wine person and want something you can use daily without switching to trays or strips, this feels like a good middle ground and actually shows results, not just marketing talk.

Good value for the money. The cap is tight, easy to use, my teeth feel clean, and it leaves my mouth feeling fresh. Best of all, after using this my teeth are 5 shades whiter. It's quality toothpaste that doesn't irritate my gums. The texture is smooth, similar to regular toothpaste, not overly grainy like some whitening products. It's everything you could want in a toothpaste. However, if you have sensitive gums or teeth (nerves) you might want to use something like Sensodyne a couple of days a week. For example, you could use Colgate Optic White Monday--Friday & Sensodyne on the weekends. Sensodyne also makes a whitening toothpaste, but I prefer Colgate Optic white. Sometimes I experience sensitivity, so I use Sensodyne a couple of days a week. That way, I can whiten my teeth minus sensitivity. Sensitivity is common with whitening products. They make mouthwash too. Like with the toothpaste, you could use the corresponding mouthwash on the days you whiten your teeth and those you don't. Two different toothpastes & mouthwash may seem excessive & expensive, but it's cheaper than getting your teeth whitened at the dentist. And you'll have something for sensitivity if that's an issue. You can still get that done at the dentist & use this as maintenance, but not everyone's got it like that. Without a trip to the dentist, this is a good happy medium. After I brush my teeth and use mouthwash, my mouth feels clean. The Optic White leaves my teeth whiter and brighter. It does what it says. Also, I get some people's apprehension about the lack of a safety seal around the tube, but the box is sealed at the factory. They put the toothpaste in the tube & seal the box. Colgate has been around for a long time, but if you get a box that looks old or like it has got wet, that's different. Just return the product. Bonus, Amazon's customer service is one of the best I've ever dealt with. If you explain the issue, they will help you. I've never had to wait more than 10 minutes to speak with someone. You can Google the direct customer service number. That's the quickest way to call customer service & resolve an issue. I have Amazon customer service saved as a contact on my phone. Hopefully, you won't have an issue & can just use the toothpaste. I'm on my second tube. After the first tube, my teeth were five shades whiter. Colgate Optic White is great. The only issue is the plethora of variations. I think the biggest difference has to do with the amount of hydrogen peroxide used. Either way like the song says, just be thankful for what you've got. I bought this product as I have sensitive teeth and can’t use regular whitening toothpaste. This is as helpful as Synsodyne for my tooth sensitivity and as I have been using it for about a month now I can see a visible difference in my teeth. Not a bright Hollywood white but definitely lightening of coffee stain.

Been using this for over a year now. I put some paste in my teeth trays and leave it for about 20 minutes when I remove trays and brush teeth it's amazing how white my teeth are. I do this about 2 time a week along with my regular brushing. I tried the tray for 20 minutes on my own and was pleasantly surprised that it worked. I figured if brushing your teeth every morning with a toothbrush how much better would the results be if I put the paste in a tooth tray and leave it there for approximately 20 minutes. try it you will be glad you did.

I first tried the about a year ago, and I'm turning into a shill for the brand. It comes in 3 strengths. Advanced--the lowest level (yeah, I don't know why it's called Advanced, either) with 2% hydrogen peroxide. Renew (3%), and Pro (5%). Renew seems to work best for us (coffee, tea addicts), with Pro maybe once a year. I have never been impressed with any whitening toothpaste, but this has the real stuff--Hydrogen Peroxide is what dentist use and home whitening kits. Those have worked for me, but this is so much easier. You just brush (for the usual recommended 2 minutes, which I don't always get to). My husband's the coffee addict, and this has made HUGE difference in his smile. I love it!
