They're a basic tie clip, but the length between the small and large isn't THAT much different. Also, the small ones are almost impossible to open without using two hands. I used a pair of pliers to get it open.

Clips not manufactured with same tolerances, bend in clips differ clip to clip from rounded to sharper angle. Regardless, the alligator clip portion (back of clip that is depressed) is viewable from the front once in place. The alligator clip is not recessed enough behind the tie clip and sticks out. This is a design flaw that renders the product unusable. I'm just outside the return window or would return. Can't speak to durability of product because it can't be worn.
