Learning Resources Write & Wipe Pockets, Set of 5

These have become one of our most used tools in our homeschool. We have had them for almost a year and they still wipe well. Make sure to wipe them right after you're done, it gets harder if you let the dry-erase marker sit on there for a few days. Also be sure you use dry-erase markers that have a softer tip or have been a little used on a harder surface before you use them on these pockets because hard-tipped markers may scratch the surface. They come with some decent markers with a little soft end to wipe off the writing. It is more practical to use a soft cloth for a whole worksheet worth of writing, though. I used some scraps of cotton flannel for this purpose. We save so much paper because my daughter loves doing some activities over and over again. We get activity books and cut off the binding so we can put the sheets in here. She can do mazes, word puzzles and dot-to-dot over and over again. We use it for "Read, Build, Write" and some versatile math concepts pages.

I love these! We bought them for my kids to do workbook pages with so I could reuse pages and have been THRILLED with them. We use 1 for the chore list on the fridge so they can mark them with dry erase each day and keep up with the daily who did whats. I also love that I can give one to my 4 year old with plain paper and she can draw and color to her heart's content all day long and I don't have my recycle bin full of wasted paper when she "messes up this one", over and over. She just wipes it clean and starts over. I take the pictures I love and scan the pockets into the computer to save it now to keep her art work without having piles of paper. I also do the same with review tests and such for my kids for record keeping with homeschool. They are durable and very well constructed. I love these, I can not express that enough. :)

I am a reading intervention teacher, so I only work with 3-6 kids at a time. I bought these for my kindergarten group and they have been fantastic. They are sturdy and seem durable. I am not using the dry erase markers that came with the pockets and the markers I am using slide out of the attached holder, but that is not something I would take off stars for. Just keep in mind that once these markers aren't usable anymore, the holder will probably be of little use unless you can find markers like these. I plan to buy more of these write & wipe pockets so I don't have to change out the sheets as often between groups! ***Nov 2013 Update--I did end up ordering more of these pockets because I was using them so much and the kids enjoy them (excited in Kindergarten and 1st at that age to use dry-erase markers and erasers!). I ordered them at the end of the 2012-13 school year, received them, and packed them away until the beginning of the 2013-14 year. When I opened them this year I was very disappointed that the stitching on two of them was incorrect (it didn't "catch" one of the plastic sides completely so it flaps open in one corner). Since it had been so long since I had ordered, I didn't try to correct it and they still work for now. A word to the wise--open the package immediately if you won't be using them for awhile! Also, it can be difficult to change out the sheets of individual copy paper. I have found that if I use a sheet of card stock slid in with the copy paper it is easier. They also look like they won't completely clean up, even with the spray dry-erase cleaner after awhile so they won't work indefinitely. If I get some of these in the future, I may purchase the cheaper 9x13 ticket holders C-Line 43920 Shop Ticket Holder for 9x12 Insert, Taped & Neon Stitched Edges, Clear, 10/box I bought this option to use for a flip chart to display each group's instructional focus since I have so many different groups during the day, but they look like they'd work for the dry-erase purpose too. They are plastic on the edges rather than the fabric so they are cheaper looking, but if I have to throw them out more often, I'll go with cheaper option.

I only gave four stars because 2 of the markers that came with it were dried out and did not work. I had other markers on hand so I was still able to use them when they arrived. The work as intended and so far have been great quality. I would buy again.

I purchased these write and wipe pockets for my children to do some practice work over the summer. The plastic is quite durable, yet seems to wipe away very nicely without leaving a lot of smudging and smearing from the leftover marker residue. The pockets were large enough for me to print up sheets in a larger size, and still be able to slip into the pockets without catching or becoming rippled or folded upon inserting. The markers that it came with were okay, but I did purchase some additional dry erase markers, which were also compatible with the write and wipe pockets as well. The markers with it did have small erasers on them, which is nice and works well when you have multiple children who seem to want to fight over who gets to erase everything. It made each one feel independent and they love having control over their own write and wipe pockets. I also love that they come in different colors, which allows us to distinguish who has which and color code them to each child so no one has to question which one they are going to use. Overall, it was a great purchase, and the price drop really made it possible for me to get them. This allows my kids to practice math, English, or even handwriting, so that they are better prepared to face the next school year when it begins. I would recommend picking up a set and trying them out for yourself.

I love these pockets! We have 9 children that we educate at home through tutors, online curriculum, and professionals that come in for one on one time. We have been asked many times where we bought these and have also given them as gifts. It is so much easier to just take pages out of coloring books and workbooks and share them between kiddos (much more earth friendly too!). These pockets wipe off easily and hold multiple pages (great for car trips where you might need mazes, worksheets, coloring pages, games, etc... We have used dry erase crayons, and dry erase markers with ease and there is no cloudy residue. They also are bound on three sides so that you don't have to worry about pages slipping out.

My kids LOVE these. my 3 year old has been using his for the last month and I just keep it full with printables from online. He traces letters, numbers, shapes, etc. He is in heaven! My 7 year old uses it for her spelling words for school. I print off a word shape list fromhttp://tools.atozteacherstuff.com/printable-word-shapes-worksheets/ and then she can work on her problem spelling words every day until she gets them. Also printed off a red build write worksheet from here http://www.homeschoolcreations.net/read-build-write-printables/ that allows her to practice her spelling words over and over. until they are mastered (we use bananagram tiles as the build part). My 8th grader uses his to do his math. I just slip in a plain white sheet of paper and he has an automatic white board that erased better than a dry erase board. The markers on these are awesome with their built in eraser and have a long life, even when kids leave the caps off. I have been very pleased. I like that there is a little loop to hold the marker. Well constructed and well worth the great price!

Best invention ever! I love how it comes with a sleeve and marker for each sheet. It's a great way to same money laminating since they're reusable and lets be honest, using dry erase markers on laminated paper never really worked that well anyway! I use mine in a first grade classroom. Whenever I had an activity on a board or an activity where a student is called up to participate (in the picture we're doing skip counting), I used these to allow the other students a mini copy for them to do the work themselves at the same time!!

Great alternative to laminating!

Awesome product i bought these as a learning resource to be able to re use work sheets, however since purchase i have found many uses for them work and play , these are durable and come with wipe off pens. would definitely recommend great value for money and robust quality
