Superman VS Phantom Zone criminals.
A rather sparse collection. in which Zod features in the background along with other characters.this collection is more about the various Phantom Zone criminals rather then Zod by himself. its a pity this collection didnt collect the issue when Superboy released Zod, because his term was up, Zod starts trouble, and Superboy is forced to put him back in the Zone.the thing is, Zod really isnt much of a villain in comics. a Kryptonian NeoNazi, who is of course bald (like most of Superman's villains). its really only Terrance Stamps fantastic performance that catauplted the character into stardom.after that Zod did make a few good apperances. check out Last Son, New Krypton, and even For Tommrow for more Zod centered stories. the last issue of this story does feature the new orgin for Zod,(before Flashpoint anyway).which was nice. as i had not yet read it yet.now i am not saying this is a bad collection. it has some nice stories. not alot of them. but some good ones.zod just isnt the main character.

The Escape from the Phantom Zone, not Superman vs. Zod
This book is supposed to be about superman vs. the great kryptonian arch enemy General Zod, It is not! This story focuses on kryptonian criminals and Zod who escape from the phantom zone. In my opinion it is a sequel to the graphic novel Superman: Tales from the Phantom Zone. The only time you could say he fights Zod is once, and he only gives him one punch? I really don't understand why they used the cover of superman war of the superman #1 for this book, when that issue is not in here. Guess they couldn't have come up with anything else. Also Besides the stories of the escaped zoners, there is a story about how and why Zod, Non, and Ursa get sentenced to the phantom zone. Don't get me wrong these stories are not bad, but they are not what I expected based on the cover and title. Slightly disappointed but it's worth the $8.99.

silver age DC
If you enjoy the old silver age DC;s, this is a good addition to your Kindle. The old artwork is great and bring back good memories.

Pretty awful mish-mash of comics to cash in on Man of Steel
Zod has never been a major character in Superman comics despite Terence Stamp's great turn in Superman II, and this collection shows why. Zod is barely featured in the stories here and next to nothing about any character or motivation exists - he's just one of a crowd of Phantom Zone refugees. While it's an interesting mix of '60s and mostly '80s Superman stories, these are pretty terrible and incomprehensible in some places. There are many better Superman collections out there than this cash-in.

Not bad
An average collection of stories that are mostly well written most of the characters will be in the new film that comes out soon, some of them I didn't know about until I read this

Great Story
Great story, particularly in view of the Man of Steel movie just released. This matches in well with the film.
